Sophie moved to Munich to study biology and philosophy. Her brother Hans was already a medical student at the same University. Soon after they started to question Nazi policis. They learned about the horrors committed in the front line when Germany invaded Poland and Russia and had witnessed it themselves. They couldn't keep quiet so on June 1942, the Scholl siblings Sophie and Hans along with some of her fellow students and two teachers began printing and distributing leaflets containg information about the Nazi invasion in Poland and Russia all over Munich. More and more members joined this group called "White Rose.''

The White Rose was founded by several students at the University Sophie attended. They as we know distributed leaflets about the Nazi policies. They spread these leaflets to catch the German peoples attention and to get them to rise against the Nazi party to stop the injustices and genocide of the Jewish people. She was then arrested by the Gestapo after he had caught Sophie throwing leaflets all over the school. She was then taken to court, she was sentenced to death after being convicted of high-treason against the Nazi party. She was executed the same day along with her brother Hans and Christoph Probst.

“The real damage is done by those millions who want to 'survive.' The honest men who just want to be left in peace. Those who don’t want their little lives disturbed by anything bigger than themselves. Those with no sides and no causes. Those who won’t take measure of their own strength, for fear of antagonizing their own weakness. Those who don’t like to make waves—or enemies. Those for whom freedom, honour, truth, and principles are only literature. Those who live small, mate small, die small. It’s the reductionist approach to life: if you keep it small, you’ll keep it under control. If you don’t make any noise, the bogeyman won’t find you. But it’s all an illusion, because they die too, those people who roll up their spirits into tiny little balls so as to be safe. Safe?! From what? Life is always on the edge of death; narrow streets lead to the same place as wide avenues, and a little candle burns itself out just like a flaming torch does. I choose my own way to burn.”
― Sophie Scholl

“Stand up for what you believe in even if you are standing alone”
― Sophie Scholl

“I will cling to the rope God has thrown me in Jesus Christ, even when my numb hands can no longer feel it.”
― Sophie Scholl

“I know that life is a doorway to eternity, and yet my heart so often gets lost in petty anxieties. It forgets the great way home that lies before it.”
― Sophie Scholl

“An end in terror is preferable to terror without end.”
― Sophie Scholl
