If someone has a really effective way of teaching something, he or she should share it, and the team should capitalize on it. Doing so ensures that we are working as a 'team' to build up all students and not just the students in one class. What good is the progress of one class when the rest of the school is struggling.

What stood out to me is these are questions I ask myself about my own methods of teaching. Accountability is NOT just for teachers. Accountability is for students and families too. When I hold parent/teacher and student/teacher conferences we review skills and data. I explain to families that they play an important role to their child's education. I explain their score and goal. I explain that I am preparing their child to take the STAAR. I speak with my students weekly and give them incite into what I am preparing them for.
