Starting children off young in play groups, sports, other activities that encourage play, sharing, team work, can all help them later when they will have to work in groups and find their way in school or life interacting with others. This will help them grow emotionally and develop strong relationships down the road.

Volunteer at the school, create a good working relationship with the teachers and faculty/staff. It is proven when the parents are more involved the children do better academically and socially. The graduation rates are higher and the drive to succeed. You should also know your child’s learning style and be able to communicate this with the teachers or when finding a school for the child.

While some screen time isn’t bad too much can lead to learning difficulties, ADD, ADHD, and other problems as children get older. More imaginative play, outside time, and reading or playing games with the family should be encouraged.
