Like being able to refrain yourself from eating a whole cake for breakfast and instead go for cereal or something that is beneficial for your health. You're able to look after yourself and decide on what is acceptable and what is not.

Self-Regulation is also how you react to things especially when they go wrong or in an undesirable way. You're able to retaliate calmly and in an respectful way. By not lashing out at members of a team when frustrated which can bring down their confidence and cause your team to fall apart. To create a team that is able to work together in an environment where everyone can speak/do things without being told they're worthless is part of being a good leader but it first must come from yourself and set the example.

Someone with Self-Regulation in a verbal fight will not yell at the angry person instead they will reply calmly.
