This required all men between the ages of 21 and 45 to register for the draft(This number range would vary over the war). The pictures below are different ways the military would try to get more people to join it and helps serve the army. The draft would last until the end of the war on Sep 2, 1945. A day after 6 years of war.

It allowed women volunteers to join the military and serve in non- combat positions. During the war, women made up 65% of the workers in the industries. Before they only made up 1%. They worked in clothing and for the military, they worked at the munitions factories and made a lot of vehicles for the army to use during the war.

Many women were placed into industrial jobs. Men were drafted into the military and all of those men had jobs back home. Women had to step up and take the jobs that men left. This was a big step in woman's rights movement too. It showed that women can work in the jobs men have been and can easily replace them too.

This was rationing or limiting the availability of many consumer products to make sure enough were available for military use. Many things like sugar and flour were limited to families so they can use it overseas. We had allies too so we had to help with their military too at some points. You were given tokens to buy things in markets and to buy. They would have special labels that would tell you how many tokens things would cost or how many tokens they're worth. They would set the prices and wages to control inflation during the war.

Gas, sugar, flour, and butter were a few of the items rationed in the United States. The ration books contained removable stamps good for certain rationed items, like sugar, meat, cooking oil, and canned goods. They would distribute these from boards around the country (Around 8,000). Many things were cut back and recycled during the warlike tires, tin, and meat fats/oils.

Before Pearl Habor, the US took defense bonds to help build up our military, then during the war, they were called war bonds, and finally, at the end of the war, they sold bonds called victory bonds to help build up the war again. By the end of the war, there were around 5 million war bonds sold.

Propaganda was an influential force throughout WWII. It was a powerful force in all countries during this time. It got many Americans to join the military/workforce to help with the cause. It was largely used in Germany to discriminate and start rumors against the Jews.

Executive Order 9066 or the Japanese American Internment Act forced 112,000 Japanese-American into camps after Peral Habor. There weren't that many lawsuits against the US but Fred Korematsu brought lawsuit stating that his imprisonment in an internment camp was a violation of his civil rights. This brought a lot of discrimination against the Japanese in the US. The government put them into these camps because they thought if Japan attacked the prisoners would revolt and fight with Japan.
