Mind map
This week I did a mind map on technology to get an idea of the potential directions that I could take my project down. It was very hard to think of things for technology that were more ‘outside the box’. If I was to do it again, I would do it physically in my sketchbook.

Mood board
I did a mood board this week on technology. This was to look at some artists and gather some inspiration for what I could do in shoots. I found some interesting images that I wanted to do shoots inspired by and artists that I wanted to research later on. If I was to do it again, I would do it physically in my sketchbook.

Artist research
I researched artist Antoine Geiger. I was very inspired by his work as he portrays his models faces being sucked into their phones and I thought this was a really good idea. I found Geiger while doing my mood board and knew I wanted to research him. I analysed one of Geiger's images and stated what I liked and disliked about his images. Photoshoot Plan
This week I have planned to do my first Photoshoot for my FMP; Technology. I planned this Photoshoot in response to an artist that I researched. I followed the planning guide that we were given at the very start and was very specific about what I wanted to do in my shoot. I think that I need to keep up with planning in detail as my previous planning has lacked it.

Contact Sheet
I have created a contact sheet showing all of the images from my Photoshoot. As I wasn’t able to access photoshop, I had to use my phone to create this. In the future, I am going to get photoshop as it is more ideal for my editing and for my contact sheets.

Edits & Analysis
This week I have edited 2 images from my Photoshoot and analysed them in detail. My edits are different to the artist that I researched as I wanted to show a different way of how we are being sucked in to technology. I did not use Photoshop on the computer to do my edits, and am not 100% proud of how they turned out.

Proposal
I have began writing my proposal this week and am currently on the second section. I am finding it quite hard regardless of the fact we do these for every project.

I wrapped the earphones around her hands to show the struggles we encounter with being tied down with the social media and technology we are using today. For this image, i used an ISO of 200, an Aperture of F4.5 and a Shutter Speed of 1/8th. I also used a tripod to make sure that my images were as clear as possible if my model moved. I edited my image in black and white to add more emotion to the image. I wrapped them around her hands to make them look as if she was struggling. I chose to do this because i wanted to use the earphones as a represntation of how the technology and social media we are using are tying us down and controlling us. And i thought this was a really good metaphor to use to create this. For this image, i used an ISO of 200, an Aperture of F.5 and a Shutter Speed of 1/8th. I also used a tripod to ensure that my images were captured as clear as possible. I used natural lighting for this shoot. Photoshoot Plan
This week i did a photoshoot plan for a photoshoot i was planning to do. I planned to do this photoshoot to show how technology and media has us controlled and wanted to use earphones to show this. I planned this quite well and in detail; stating exactly what i wanted to do during the shoot and the outcomes that i wanted. This photoshoot plan was better than last week in my opinion as it was in more detail and stated more of what i wanted from the shoot.

Edits
I edited 3 of my images from the photoshoot i did this week. I edited them using the Lightroom app from the App Store. I only did basic lighting and saturation edits to lighten up and brighten my image. I cropped my image quite a lot to get rid of some of the unwanted background and have my focal point clear. Photoshoot Plan
This week i planned to do a self portrait photoshoot. I planned for a self portrait so i could have more of a variety of models in my project and during this time its hard to do so. I planned this in detail stating exactly what i wanted to happen; stating that i wanted them to be close up and why and what i was going to do in the editing process.

This week i have done 2 edits that i have also analysed in great detailed. I really liked how 1 of them turned out with the text layering. Photoshoot Plan
This week i have planned to do a photoshoot with using my mum as my model. I think i had a good idea and the outcome was good overall. I planned the shoot in detail before hand stating what i wanted to do.

Edits and analysis
I edited my images after doing my shoot. The edits came out okay however i think i could have done better with the text layering and the whole shoot in general. I wasnt 100% happy with how my shoot turned out.

This week i did an review on an episode of Doctor Who that i used for inspiration for a shoot that i had done previously in my project. Photoshoot plan
This week i have planned a photoshoot using my sister as my model. We planned to have her recieving a message on her phone which we would then edit to show as a text bubble. I had to make it clear in my plan what i wanted and in detail; e.g use a ringlight and a tripod for best results, look upset etc.

Edits and analysis
During the editing process, i did 2 very similar edits of the same photo. One was all in colour, and one was black and white with just the text in colour. I really liked how they both came out but the black and white was more dramatic and fit better for the purpose of the shoot.
