I think the John Brown Raid on Harper’s Ferry had the most impact because the raid killed a lot of slave owners. This caused tension between the north and south, which led more to the civil war due to the north seeing him as a hero and the south seeing him as a villain.

I believe that scott v. sanford played a part in the civil war because it ruled that african americans were not people and couldn't sue for their freedom. Another part was when banning slavery was deemed against the constitution and was ruled to be legal. This event caused the north and south to be further split

I say the Compromise of 1850, because this compromised had complicated relationships between the North and South. The compromise had made regions upset with what it had offer, which go against the Missouri Compromise which kept the relationship stable between the regions.

I think the even that had the most to do with separating the US is the AOC and Constitution because if the states could not not comply and come together on an agreement of rules for the Nation then they would be unstable and any other Nation or Country could come and just make the Us submit to them because they would have mo plan or know what to do

I think the event with the biggest effect was the creation of the us constitution because if all states did not come to agreement or comply with the rules and laws of the constitution it would divide the country.
