• Guests must fill out an electronic health awareness card (e-HAC) in the Peduli Lindungi app prior to departure and ensure that their vaccination certificates and/or test results are already available in the app.

• Travelers with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that cause travelers unable to receive vaccines must present a supporting letter regarding their conditions from a medical doctor at government hospital, and are required to present negative antigen test results taken maximum 1x24 hours or Covid-19 RT PCR test results taken maximum 3x24 hours prior to departure.

All international travelers must present a vaccination card or certificate (physical or digital) that shows the traveler has received the full dose of COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 (fourteen) days before departure. The following conditions apply:

o Foreigners aged 6 — 17 years;

o Holders of diplomatic residence permits and official residence permits; and/or

o Holders of a limited stay permit card (KITAS) and a permanent residence permit card (KITAP)

o Foreigners who hold diplomatic visas and service visas related to official/state visits of foreign officials at ministerial level and above and foreigners who enter Indonesia under the Travel Corridor Arrangement scheme, according to the principle of reciprocity while still implementing strict health protocols;

o Foreigners who have not been vaccinated and intend to travel domestically and continue with the aim of taking international flights out of the Republic of Indonesia are allowed not to show their COVID-19 vaccination card/certificate as long as they do not leave the airport area during transit waiting for the international flight, provided that the traveler:

o International travelers under 18 years of age; and

o International travelers with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent them from receiving vaccines, with the condition that they must attach a doctor's certificate from the Government Hospital of the country of departure stating that the person concerned has not and/or is unable to take the COVID- 19 vaccination.

• Indonesian and foreigner carrying cellular telecommunication device (mobile phone, tablet, etc) purchased from outside of Indonesia are advised to register the device’s IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number at origin country before departure to Indonesia through https://www.beacukai.go.id/register-imei.html.

Travelers may enter Thailand with or without quarantine based on their vaccination status and country of departure.

New entry requirements are being introduced on May 1, 2022. To know how you will need to enter Thailand as a vaccinated or unvaccinated traveler, please see below.

A pre-departure COVID-19 RT-PCR test is now only required for unvaccinated travelers who do not want to do the 5-day mandatory Alternate Quarantine on arrival. The test must be conducted within 72 hours before their international flight from their country of departure and it must be submitted to the Thailand Pass system in lieu of a vaccination certificate.

Note: Starting May 1, 2022, the RT-PCR testing will no longer be required when arriving in Thailand.

Visitors from countries under the Visa Exemption List are not required to obtain a Thai visa in order to travel to Thailand for tourism purposes. The Thai Immigration Bureau will allow foreigners to stay in Thailand for 30 days. Tourists will be able to apply for a 30 days visa extension at any local immigration office in Thailand.

If you wish to stay longer or are traveling for a purpose other than tourism, please know that the normal 60-day Tourist Visa, Thai Elite Visa, and other non-immigrant visas are available at Thai Embassies or Consulates around the world. Holders of these visas are still required to apply for the Thailand Pass at the MFA website.

Everyone planning to come to Thailand needs to have a valid Thailand Pass to enter the country. It is mandatory during the COVID pandemic.

Thailand Pass is a web-based system designed to support Thailand’s “Ease of Travel” system and make the documentation process of the travelers entering Thailand simpler and more efficient.

You may visit the MFA website https://tp.consular.go.th/ and apply for the Thailand Pass directly.

Applying for a Thailand Pass is even easier with the new changes being implemented on May 1. With fewer documents needing to be checked and confirmed, approval times will be much faster.

The documents you need to provide when applying for a Thailand Pass will depend on your vaccination status:

It is advised to submit/register your Thailand Pass application at least 3 to 7 days before your scheduled departure. You cannot enter Thailand until you have received your Thailand Pass, so make sure you start the application process well in advance.

The application for the Thailand Pass is free. However, you may also retain a service provider who would assist you with your Thailand Pass application.


Thailand COVID Insurance for Foreigners

All foreigners traveling to Thailand must provide a travel insurance policy before departing to Thailand. The COVID travel insurance certificate must be submitted to the Thai embassy when applying for the visa and Thailand Pass and needs to state explicitly that the health insurance is for 10,000 USD or more and COVID-19 is covered. The insurance policy must cover the duration of your stay in Thailand. If your insurance does not meet these requirements, you will not be allowed to travel to Thailand.

Foreigners can get a Thailand travel insurance policy covering COVID-19 easily and conveniently. Visitors can buy the travel insurance online with a credit card and the insurance policy and COVID-19 certificate will be sent to you instantly.


Thailand Health Screening

With the spread of COVID-19, many countries, like Thailand, have been implementing new screening methods and health controls for travel at airports.

When arriving in Thailand, it is good practice to print a copy of all the documents you uploaded to your Thailand Pass Application. This will help Immigration Officers approve your entry through passport control faster and potentially avoid those embarrassing moments when electronic devices run out of battery or Apps crash.

Now that Test & Go, Sandbox, and RT-PCR testing requirements have been removed, travelers under the new No Quarantine program can fly domestically as soon as they land in Thailand.

Normally your Day 1 SHA+ hotel will provide you with the ATK test, but you can also purchase an ATK self-test from pharmacies and 7-11’s in Thailand. They cost between 100-150 Thai baht. For the vaccinated travelers who enter Thailand on May 1 onward, ATK testing is optional.

For travelers who enter Thailand before May 1, 2022, you will take a photo of your test result side-by-side with your passport. You upload your ATK result through the MorChana App. On arrival in Thailand, you need to download and install MorChana:

There are many changes proposed over the months of May & July, but things change weekly. The current proposal is to remove all restrictions in July. This is not official. Check closer to this time for official correspondence.

Pre-departure RT-PCR tests are no longer needed after April 1 in Thailand. It is prudent to check with your airline or any transit countries to confirm their pre-departure test requirements.

From May 1, pre-departure RT-PCR testing is only required for unvaccinated travelers who do not want to do the 5-day Alternate Quarantine.

Information in the Thailand Pass system will update on May 1. When you receive your approval, you will still see the system advising you to get a pre-departure RT-PCR test. This test does not affect your Thailand Pass application.

If your final destination is Phuket or Samui, you will receive your test at the airport and need to book the test yourself at www.thailandpsas.com. Your hotel package needs to only include transport. After you have booked your RT PCR test, it is recommended to send a copy of your receipt to your hotel.

If your Day 1 test result is positive, the test center or hospital will make all arrangements to admit you to a hospital or suitable hotel (this will be decided on a case-by-case basis). Your expenses need to be covered by your insurance.

Positive Covid cases are assessed on a case-by-case basis. If you test positive on a Day 5 ATK test, you will report to the closest hospital or testing center. Depending on the severity of symptoms, you will be admitted to the hospital or be required to self-isolate in your hotel/accommodation for up to 14 days.

Your insurance needs to offer coverage for a minimum of $10,000 USD and cover medical expenses relating to Covid-19. You can find trusted insurance coverage at AXA Thailand.
