         <description><![CDATA[<div>If we put 25ml of coffee in the fish bowl, it will make the breathing rate double. Our hypothesis was right, before we put the coffee in the bowl, the breathing rate was less tan 100. once we put the coffee in the bowl, the fishes breathing rate went over 100. We could have put less coffee in it so we could have seen the fish better. Once we put the coffee in the water, the water turned a brown color and it was hard for us to see the fish. While the fish was in the coffee it was moving around really fast like we expected. While the fish was moving, it kept going to the top. once we took the fish out and put him back in clean water, he was still moving fast until he got back to normal.&nbsp;This showed us that the gold fish had more energy while he was in the coffee water. And while he was in the clean water he had to have time to get back to himself. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>If the environment of the fish is disturbed, then the fish will surface the water to breathe. Our hypothesis was correct; the amount of times our fish surfaced when we disturbed the water increased from before we we touched the fish's environment (from average, 2 times per 3 minutes to 5 times per 3 minutes). Our experiment could've gone better if we moved the water around more because in our experiment, we timed the amount we spun the water around 30 seconds per trial. If we would've gone longer, there's a chance our final average would've been higher, and the change between the amount of times the fish originally surfaced would have been more dramatic/higher. Or we could have timed the trials longer (maybe by 5 minutes). This would have made our results more accurate as well.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our hypothesis was that if you warm up the fish's water, the fish would begin to breathe slower because it would be calmer. We did this by raising the water's temperature by 10 degrees farenheit. When we did this, our fish began to breathe faster in a 48% increase than it's normal state. Our hypothesis was wrong, since we thought the fish would breathe slower. In conclusion, the warmer the water is, the faster the fish will breathe. We could improve this experiment by having more goldfish to test on, and by testing the respiration rate more thoroughly, we could make the results more accurate.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our hypothesis was not supported because before we played music, Roscos respiration rate was 69 bpm. After we played slow and fast music his bpm went to 70 for slow and 73 for fast. So this shows that Rosco and other fish are not affected by any type of music. <br> We could improve this experiment by playing a bigger variety of music. <br>What would make this experiment more accurate would be if we had the room completely quiet, except for the music. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our hypothesis was supported. We ran three trials that required us to take our fish out of the water for 30 seconds. When we placed Leo (our fish) back in the water his breathing rate increased from an average of 49 bpm to 80 bpm. Overall Leo had a 39% increased breathing rate.&nbsp;<br><br>We could improve this experiment by running it for longer time intervals, and by using different fish for the experiment.<br><br>We could make our experiment more accurate by running several trials and averaging them together. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our hypothesis was supported. It was: If the water is temperature is lowered, then the breathing rate of our goldfish will increase. The temperature of the water was 24 degrees Celsius and the fish's bpm average was 74.3. When we lowered the temp. to 15 degrees Celsius, the bpm dropped to 55.3.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;We could have improved this experiment by lowering the temperature with smaller gaps in between each trial. We could make it more accurate by testing each trial more than once. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>If a pencil is dropped in the water and the fish moves faster, then the heart rate of the fish will be increased.<br>We conducted 3 tests, and all tests had an increased heart rate.<br>Our control heart rate was 92 beats per minute.<br>The heart rate increased by 4.34% after each trial it was, 142, 138, and then 100, so our average for the tests was 96 beats per minute.<br>We could improve the experiment by doing more trials.<br>We could make it more accurate by putting a heart rate monitor on the fish when we do it, or do more tests so when we take an average there are more to average out.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our hypothesis was supported because the fish's breathing rate increased from an average of 96 gill movements per minute, to an average of 170.4  gill movements per minute. It showed 71.4% change We could have improved by running more trials and finding a better way to read the CO2 levels of the water. We could have been more accurate if we found a better way to count gill movements. It was hard to see with only our eyes.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our hypothesis was if we decrease the temperature of the water to 13 degrees Celsius&nbsp; then the fish's breathing rate will decrease. Our hypothesis was supported. The breathing rate before lowering the temperature was an average of 72 gill movements/minute after five trials. After we lowered the water temperature to&nbsp;13 degrees Celsius the breathing rate was, on average, 62 gill movements/minute after five trials. The percent change was -13.89% meaning, yes, the fish's breathing rate did decrease once you decrease the water temperature.`</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our hypothesis states that If the temperature of the water increases, then the fish's heart rate will increase too. Our experiment supported our hypothesis. Our control when the water was 70 degree F  the fish breathed an average of 67.2 times per minute. When we increased the temperature of the water to 92 degrees F the fish's average breathing rate per minute increased to 87.6. So we had a 37.8% change in breathing rate. To be more accurate we could have done more trials and could have found a better way to measure his breaths to be more exact/accurate.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>our hypothesis was supported. Our hypothesis was  if we let the fish be put in colder water  than the water the fish was in already  then the fishes respiration would be altered to decrease in it breathing rate.<br>The temperate of the water the fish was already in was 23 Celsius and we drop the temperature to 16 Celsius. the fishes breathing rate dropped -22%. The reason we think the breathing rate decreases because maybe the fish wasn't used to colder water  it stimulus probably didn't react well to colder water and because this gold fish is a pet fish so back to it not use to this type of water.<br>we could improve by doing mores trails and doing one more trail after we got our result to see if our results was efficient </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our hypothesis was that if we gave a goldfish benadryl then its breathing rate would decrease and our hypothesis was not supported. The fishes breathing rate actually increased 109% increasing from .86 breathes per second in the control to 1.833 breathes in the experiment test.<br><br>We could improve this experiment by doing more tests, measuring how much we actually gave him( I still don't know),&nbsp; and giving the benadryl more time to set because we only gave it Ike 15 minutes to set.<br><br>This would improve our data because it would be more accurate and we could determine if the amount of benadryl given changes the effects.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our hypothesis was if we add 1.18 grams of salt to container with 200 mls of aquarium water, then the fishes breathing will increase. Our hypothesis was correct because after adding the salt to the water and mixing it in, we placed the fish in the water and saw its breathing increase. We saw it increase from an average of 39.6 gill movements per minute to 82.8 gill motions per minute. There was a 52% change from the control group to the experimental group.&nbsp;<br><br>We could improve this experiment by having a higher amount of trials because it would make our data more accurate. We could also perform the same experiment&nbsp;on multiple fish and average it out in case our fish was a rare case of respiration.</div>]]></description>
