I changed the setting of the piano to make it “Grandmas Ocean wave” which sounded way better than the grand piano. 

When making the song I used the L and J and put the beats of the drum like in a wave shape with the beats. The chorus is only drums because I figured that it did sound better without any other instrument. I did also add in the Flutter wave in the bridge and string section at the end.

It took me a while to learn how to involve some other instruments and make piano notes but in the end it worked out. I also had trouble finding the right beats but after all it was worth it. My piece came out just as I wanted it.

I made an introduction with just the melody and the Pre-Chorus with Melody+Hihats and then the melody+hihat+snare for the rest of the pre-chorus. Afterward, I made the chorus with the melody+hihat+snare+base. After that, I ended the song with an outro that only contained melody and base. The song was only a total of 1 minute and 14 seconds long. Then I added a bonus song clip to promote my skills in actually making beats because the song felt very plain without some unexpected beat change. It also made an impact on the listeners’ mood. It went from some dark type of feeling to an upbeat feel. The only flaw I noticed is that the bonus clip is around 20 seconds long which is a very short time making people crave the rest of the song depending on whether they like it or not.

Well, that’s all! Hope 1 minute and 30 seconds of music was worth the hours I spent on it!

Some songs are even described as “bops” due to how danceable they are. I like saying that phrase and I decided that my song was enough of a bop to name it this. The form of this song is verse, pre chorus, chorus, verse, pre chorus, chorus, verse, bridge, chorus, and outro. Instead of replacing my verse with the bridge in the third part, I replaced the pre chorus, since I felt it wasn’t as important. I think this enhanced the track, and added some diversity as well. I also wanted to include an outro. I added this component so the end didn’t feel as abrupt.  

  It was difficult learning how to split and cut the music, and I even forgot to save a few times but thanks to Soundtrap’s auto-save feature I was able to recover it. Copying and pasting was hard as well, since I had to make sure I was putting everything in the right place.

I decided to put that phrase into my composition. I used a palindrome form because it gave me the result I was looking for. The form of this song is CABDACDA . Section B is where you’ll hear me saying the phrase ‘Creativity of courage” It took me a while to learn the melody of  the music and get the hang of copying and pasting music clips, especially the piano roll.  In the end it was a challenge but it was worth calling myself a producer and a composer.
