It is safe to say that English language holds the key to success in the Korean society. But, it seems that the English education system in South Korea is not working mainly because of an emphasis on rote memorization. Not only that, Korean English classes are inefficient because they offer very few opportunities to learn English writing and speaking skills, so i came here and met Jerry! thanks.

But English classes at school weren't interesting at all. What they usually do in class is solving many questions, and there's no special activity such as speaking or writing. The only class that I liked was not a shcool class, but a private educational class. The teacher who taught me was a really competent teacher. Of course, I have to solve many questions and do a lot of assignments like other students. But usually we learn only grammar listening and reading. When we study grammar, we use textbooks.
Always students are writing something such as fill in the blanks or write then same word ten times.
We have no chance to practice speaking.
And in Japan, if someone said true pronunciation, everyone roared with laughter at it. It was a very very very very very very bad habit!!!!!!!
Japanese English is for a test.
It was very hard. and boring and not fun for me.

Koreans usually start to study English in primary school. We study the alphabet, words, and basic grammar. After that we study vocabulary and high grammar in middle school. This period, many students prepare to study in private education. Because school education is not enough to get high score in the CSAT. CSAT means college scholastic ability test. It is needed to go to university and apply for jobs in most of big companies.
As a result, Korea education do no teach about conversation skills. I think we have to change the way to study English. Now I'm happy to study in Australia and like English. However, they speak in either Arabic or Chinese. In other words, most of students have not learnt English adequately unless they have  moved overseas in order to learn a new language. in light of this, my personal experience has been improved since I went to Atlanta (US) and I was there for 3 mounts approximately in 2017 but I wasn't good as much as I am today. This is because I've been here at EC for 8 months which has a numerous, brilliant teachers ,especially Jerry who is the G.O.A.T
