Dr. King used marches like Mahatma, and boycotts. For example, the famous Salt March was held by Gandhi, to bring light upon the unequal distribution and tax on salt for Indians. Indians were not allowed to make their on salt. This march was held March-April 1930, where 60,000 people were arrested! On the 23rd of August, 1963, in Washington, D.C., Martin King led a march with more than 200,000 marchers. Gandhi was arrested on multiple occasions, but was released shortly because of his fasting. Gandhi passed away on January 30, 1948, in New Delhi, India.
