Semantic:
Genie, flying carpets, 'magic' = FANTASY & the lamp as a prop enhances this

Aladdin & Jasmine = Romance

Will Smith = 'make me a prince' - physically makes a prince

Typical narrative structure - from disequilibrium to new equilibrium. New equilibrium is portrayed by the 'a whole new world' soundtrack. (THE MOST ICONIC SONG).

Dramatic scenes - loud DUN DUN when showing characters - slows down the pace when focusing on Aladdin & Jasmine. 
-Fast paced running scenes, also enhance the dramatic/action genre.

Very colourful setting and palette - until the villain is shown, which is when the colour becomes much darker and duller. Syntactic - binary oppositions (good/bad)
