The teacher comes to the lesson with a bandaged arm or knee and a little bit in a hurry. He attracts the attention of the children with this entrance. He says that he had a small accident on the way and that this accident was the result of some carelessness. "Children, I walked to school this morning because the weather was nice, but as I was crossing the road right in front of the school, I was slightly hit by a careless driver and fell to the ground. Fortunately, the driver was slow and I survived the accident with minor scratches."

It is said that such small or big accidents often occur in our lives, some as a result of carelessness and some as a result of not following the rules.

The teacher informs the students about the lesson by saying that in this lesson, they will be discussing traffic signs and markings in relation to these incidents and starts the lesson.

Lesson Procedure;

The subject is introduced with a question.

"Which traffic signs and do you see along the way to school?"

Children's answers are taken and the lesson continues.

The students, who come to school with many different ways of transportation, talk about what they know about various traffic signs. It is ensured that the children are aware of the traffic signs that they pass by or in front of them, which they may not have noticed until today.

At the end of the subject, the activities in the textbook (appendix.5) are completed and checked.

Students are asked whether they have done the homework given in the previous lesson in preparation for this lesson. Students who have experienced events related to the subject in their immediate environment take the floor and share the events with the class.

The children are told how important this issue is in order to prevent anything from happening to us in traffic and to prevent loss of life and property for ourselves and our loved ones. Thus, they are attracted to the lesson.

The teacher gives information about the subject to be covered.

"In this lesson, we will talk about traffic rules and the importance of following the rules. Also, at the end of the lesson, we will go on a trip with you." The teacher arouses the curiosity of the children.

Students' prior knowledge is measured by introducing the question in the textbook (attachment 1).

After reading the text, the teacher explains the subject with oral expression method. The necessity of following traffic rules is explained.

At this stage, a small game from the virtual newspaper (appendix.3) is played to reinforce the subject.

In the last lesson on the subject, the teacher reveals the surprise to the children and introduces them to the virtual exhibition (appendix.5). This exhibition is examined together in class for one lesson. Virtual exhibition link; (attachment.5)

While the teacher shows the students around the exhibition, he/she asks questions to the students about the visuals and sounds they encounter in the exhibition and measures the learning status of the students. At the end of the exhibition, the teacher tells the students that they can visit the exhibition with their families and shares the link to the exhibition with the students' families.

The teacher asks a question to draw children's attention to the lesson: "Does anyone have a memory of a recent accident at home?"

At the end of the previous lesson, the students are expected to come up with a variety of answers to these questions, as they were given homework on this topic at the end of the previous lesson.

The children are told about the contribution of the topic and are encouraged to listen to the lesson.

"We all know that accidents can happen to us, even if they are minor. But did you know that we can minimize these chances if we act cautiously and take the necessary precautions?"

They are reminded of the previous year's lessons on the correct use of technological products at home and told that this year they will talk about accidents that can happen to them at home, at school, on the street and the precautions that can be taken.

This concludes the first lesson.

At the beginning of the second lesson, the teacher opens the cartoon (attachment.1) on the virtual newspaper, prepared on Pixton, and reads it with the children.

The children are asked what they want to explain in the cartoon and their opinions are asked.

They are asked to predict how their parents would react in such a situation.

Home accidents, of which only one example is given in the cartoon, are discussed in more detail with the sample text in the textbook (attachment 2).

The accidents in the text are mentioned one by one.

At the end of the text, students are given a task to prepare for the next lesson.

"Let's investigate the precautions that can be taken in accidents that may occur in our immediate surroundings."

Afterwards, the visuals (attachment.4) designed with artificial intelligence and combined on "freenotes" are opened on the smart board and children are asked questions based on the visuals.

The activities in the textbook (attachment.5) are given as homework in preparation for the next lesson.

The teacher greets the class and before starting the lesson, says "I would like to make you listen to some sounds." and opens the sound effects of some emergency vehicles (attachment.1) on the smart board and makes the children listen to them. Then she asks the class what these sounds are and which vehicles they belong to.

"What are the emergencies that may occur in our environment?" The students are asked a question to ensure their active participation in the lesson.

"In today's lesson, we will talk about emergencies, what we need to do in emergencies and who we can get help from." and gives information about the lesson.

"Who do you meet on your way to and from school?"

The teacher comes to a point that may not have attracted the children's attention, and they are made to discover who they meet on the roads they travel every day.

After the question and answer session with the children, the animation (attachment.2) adapted from the text in the textbook is shown and the teacher explains the topic using the direct expression method.

The class is asked if anyone has experienced a similar event.

By going through case studies, it is ensured that the children internalize and comprehend the subject thoroughly.

Depending on the course of the lesson, if there is time, these activities can also be enacted using the drama technique. Questions can be asked and answered based on the events, and according to the answers, students act out the situation in order to make it memorable.

The teacher calls a few groups prepared for the assignment given in the previous lesson (whether an event threatening their safety has happened to them, and if so, what they have experienced in the form of a short dramatization) to perform a drama. Approximately 20 minutes of the lesson is allocated for this and then the students are thanked and taken to their seats.
