What the sunflowers want is to be indoors. In the story "Two Sunflowers move in a Yellow Room", The point of view is taken by the Sunflowers, and they show human emotion, as they tell William, "Ah, William, We're weary of weather." They have been out in the rain for an extended period of time, and show weariness of the rain, and ask to be brought indoors; "Can you give us a room with a view?" Clearly, the sunflowers do not like the rain, and are tired of it. So, they ask someone, (presumably human) to allow them to stay indoors where it is dry, at least until the rain lets up.

In this poem, two sunflowers want to be moved to a different room with a better view. "'Our traveling habits have tired us. Can you give us a room with a view?/and counted the steps of the sun" (3, 4, 6) The author showed personification by giving the flowers human attributes.
