Which of the Ten Ethical Computing Guidelines do you think students violate most often?

One of the biggest issues in America today is cyberbullying. Technology grew faster than we expected, meaning we all had to learn how to use it together. The biggest downside to technology is the fact that people use it to harm each other, breaking the First Commandment.

Why do you think these violations occur?

These violations occur because students are teaching themselves how to use the internet, rather than being taught by an adult. Safety lessons, such as the one above would have been vital in protecting students, and still can be productive in solving the problem.

What do you think could be done to reduce or eliminate such unethical behavior?

A way to eliminate ethical behavior is to educate on consequences. Unfortunately, "being a good person" is not enough to convince someone to act ethically these days. I think more consequences need to be instilled to deter negative actions on the internet from happening.
