According to me child development refers to the growth of a child physically, emotionally, mentally to an adolescent. It involves the development of skills like problem solving, social interaction and motor skills.

There are 5 main domains of child development which are as follows:

1) Physical Development

2)Cognitive Development

3)Emotional Development

4)Social Development

5)Language Development

It refers to the inherent qualities that influence how children think, feel, and behave which can shape their learning experiences. Few dispositions include curiosity, persistence, creativity, cooperation, independence and empathy.

Child development is divided into some specific periods that are classified as:

1) Prenatal Period- Development of fetus

2) Infancy- Rapid physical growth and skills development

3)Early Childhood- development of advanced skills including problem solving

4)Middle Childhood- Growth of cognitive abilities

5) Adolescence- Physical changes
