These countries, or rather the people within the country, suffer from these diseases because of various factors, one being the poor economy they live in. A poor economy results in a country with a low health care system, a consequence of this would be the fact that people who have fallen ill are unable to receive proper medical care. This results in a higher mortality rate as well as higher chance of spread of infection because of poor facilities available.

Additionally, poor social conditions also plays a role in allowing these diseases to thrive. The social conditions, especially in LICs, will have cramped and confined housing.
