Training To Be a Pilot

Today I became a pilot. It was a long hard journey because most of the astronauts were pilots before they went to space to have experience. But I had to attend a 53 week course in flight training at Williams Air Force Base, Arizona. Receiving my jet pilot wings and later my, navy helicopter wings. To become an astronauts like those I would be working with. Combine that with my knowledge of geology and I am a better of better assistance for when I go to space.

Training Apollo teams

While before I was an astronaut I taught the Apollo teams how to collect samples. Now collecting a sample is easier said than done. Imagine that you are on the moon in one of those bulky space suit trying to pick up a rock with those big gloves. Now that would be pretty hard. Now its my job to teach the Apollo teams how to do that without them trying to figure it out on their own last minute. Without me teaching them we would have no samples of lunar rock to examine and test on.
