The molecular or ionic structure is rearranged.

2. An endothermic reaction requires activation energy; energy is absorbed; more energy is needed to make the reaction start, than is released, and an exothermic reaction requires activation energy; more energy is released, than needed to start; products have less energy than reactants

3. Matter is never created or destroyed, which means equations must balance, because atoms can’t be created or destroyed randomly. They are just there.

4. Baking soda and vinegar react with each other because they exchange atoms. They exchange a proton. In this reaction, baking soda acts as a base, and takes a proton from vinegar, which is an acid. The reaction releases gas because when the baking soda receives the proton, it transforms into water and carbon dioxide. When they mix, gas (bubbles) are created. The more baking soda and vinegar, the more bubbles (gas).

Exothermic is when energy is released and products have less energy than reactants while Endothermic is when energy is absorbed and products have more energy than reactants. 3.) Conservation of mass and Balancing equations are similar because you can't take away anything or in other words destroy. 4.) So in the lab as we predicted that if we increased the amount of baking soda that the Bubbles were also increasing it's length which was correct because after we repeated the lab and increased the amount of baking soda then we had graph are results and sure enough our hypothesis was correct because when we had graphed we saw the length of bubbles increased
