If the infection is in the central nervous system, symptoms can include: shortness of breath, cough, chest pain, and/or fever. If the infection is located in the lungs, symptoms can include: headache, fever, neck pain, nausea and/or vomiting, sensitivity to light, and confusion or change in behavior. Treatments vary due to severity. An antifungal treatment can be used if the fungal infection is not too severe.
