         <description><![CDATA[<div>The war was off to a rough start with the 16th and 36th divisions taking big losses in the battle of somme . On the 1st and 2nd July the 36th divisions lost 5500 men out of 15 000 men. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the Easter period in 1916 the Rebellion started. A Rebellion led by Patrick Pearse and James Connolly that consisted of 1, 800 volunteers caused havocked in Dublin that day seizing the General Post Office and various major buildings. This continued for a week before the Rebellion fell to the British forces. </div>]]></description>
