Math/physics teachers will no longer be drawing 3D images on a two-dimensional whiteboard. Learning will become more realistic and effective.
The question is... how affordable is it for the average student? Will the government be interested in funding the procurement of this reality gadget for schools?
-Ugo

The part of the video showing technology embedded in glass in nature was incredible to watch, and we are slowly getting there in my opinion. At zoos I've seen interactive videos on the animals, but if the glass was as big as it is in the film, who cleans the fingerprints? - Michaela

This video also showed a child's device being an identifier tools (identifying plants), which is something we should incorporate to the classroom! There are plenty of apps available to download to identify plants, and this would be an engaging activity for students.

The video “A Day Made of Glass” conveyed a very intriguing concept of what the future can hold. I love seeing what type of technology can become available to us as we progress through new findings and accomplishments. As much as I would love to imagine a world full of new technology, some of this equipment almost seem too good to be true! I believe that advanced technology is important in the field of medicine, along with in our educational classrooms. Being able to connect with others across the world within seconds while sharing new findings has the potential to open so many new doors of possibilities.

I really resonated with the Ted Talk “Reawakening Creativity.” It is so natural to get lost in the ebb and flow of everyday life, that it is easy to forget what brings us joy and sparks our own creativity. As I manage my tiring daily to-do lists, I can say I have never pencilled in spend a few minutes to do something that inspires a creative side in me. As teachers, it’s important to find new ways to inspire our students continuously. But how can we do that if we are not able to spark creativity within ourselves?

I really appreciated the "Reawakening Creativity" video! The way Nicole Dalesio emphasized the importance of making time to create and giving opportunities to explore was amazing - even something as simple as bringing student outside to take jumping photos. People often think creativity is just something that happens/comes naturally from within, but it takes discipline. Finding ways to include creative projects, take changes, form creative HABITS would not only be beneficial for ourselves but our future students.

This video reminded me of that one ride at Disney, the "Carousel of Progress" located in Tomorrowland where they put together a ride they celebrated technological advances and then imagined what the future might look like. In this video, however, the future feels far closer than expected! Advances in Augmented Reality, connecting virtually, and the ways in which we use technology as a tool has advanced incredibly! There is a streamed I watch named CodeMiko who is puppeting a virtual body, and her goal is to make her interactive stream (with her in it) a full blown game! This technology just blows my mind!

I really like how Nicole starts out her talk by pushing the fact that everyone can be creative, we just need to learn/relearn how to be. This really stood out as I feel as I grew up I lost touch with my creative side that we all have as children. It is something to relearn and value again now and is important to keep creativity in learning so kids do not lose this in their life. - Ainsley
