**Recognize that there are Standards mastery tests that will always take priority in iReady, so there may be times when license usage is lower.
1. rewards for reaching minutes
2. rewards for having a high passing rate of lessons
3. 1 on 1 conferencing with students about asking for help when student realizes he/she is struggling with a lesson
4. formative score based on reaching their minimum number of minutes
5. extra recess for kids who achieve their iReady minutes or passing certain number of minutes

IReady Wednesdays
-dedicate all of Block 1 to iReady
--1st part of Block 1 is ELA iReady
--2nd part of Block 1 is Math iReady
-Terp works with iReady kids in his room
-The rest of the team is grouped off of iReady ELA and Math scores, each teacher taking a different level and the subject is determined by indiv teacher (lit groups, no red ink app, prodigy, edpuzzle, spiral review, etc)

Things to change and do differently:
-Use Ac Lab and skinny's as needed to work with kids that are missing their minutes.
-Change/check domains
-Pull small groups and indiv lessons and work with kids (during ac lab)
-Give incentives

Read-In Day:
Each teacher picks a picture book and reads it to the class, then they have/make a food that relates to that story. Then they have DEAR day. Kids rotate through all teachers. Kids are also encouraged to bring pillow, blanket, comfy clothes.

1. Incorporate a specific vocabulary lesson for each unit.
2. Each grade level gets at least one day each month dedicated to a reading lesson OR one reading lesson per unit.
3. RTI- Look in depth at other schools who use RTI model so that we can modify it for our use.

Reading March 9:
-Integrate book/reading into classroom lesson
Examples:
1. Dr. Seuss and drawing favorite character.
2. Article about Beyonce from In-Tune magazine for band that is playing a Beyonce piece.
3. What is a Broadway musical article for choir who is singing a Broadway medley.
4. FACS- Green Eggs and Ham- Talking about alternative recipe options to create what you want

Visionaries 7th

3. In the future, don't give students both english and math licenses. Students get burned out on iReady

Each of the content teachers is reaching for the bleachers. An activity related to Suess will be sweeter than juice. students will finish their school clock with a fun read with the cat doc.

Increasing iReady percentages
1. Teachers need to be logged into their iReady at all times while students are working on lessons so they can continually watch minutes and ensure students are on task. If students aren't on task, make them sit right next to you.

2. Students must complete at least 1 lesson per week. This shows they are actively working to improve their learning. If they're not completing lessons, they spend extra time working on iReady. It has worked wonders!

3. Have individual lesson time (while others are doing iReady) for students with lower than 30% passing rates.

4. More purposeful reading activities/projects for non-iReady licensed students.

5. Not rewarding them for getting their minutes, but for having a rewards-based system for students with an 80% or overall pass rate.

6. More closely watching absences to ensure those kids make up minutes even though it's difficult.

Missouri Read-In Day:
Morning: Four 45 minute rotations with core teachers so students do 4 different reading activities. (reader's theater, inferring, non-fiction connections to their real-world lives).
Afternoon: iReady classes/reading for a purpose
