In High School I worked as a swim instructor at the YMCA for three years. I absolutely loved my job, inspired me to further my education. This picture was taken my last day of work, when I let two of my students who wanted to give me a final goodbye before going off to college.

This upcoming fall I will be a junior and continue my study in elementary education. Since coming to the University of Arkansas I've learned so much about life and my community. My education has so far given me the opportunity to explore more through observations and learning through experience.

A fun fact about me is I really like cooking. Growing up I didn't cook much or had much experience in the kitchen in general, so when I moved off to college, I started teaching myself to cook. I have learned recipes here and there from different friends and recipe rabbit holes I've found myself in. After a while of trying different recipes, I finally found my favorite. Lemon salmon is my favorite food because its health and easy dish. I would eat this every day if I could.
