"Kathy said the word baby shocked her. In all of her talks at the clinic, the fetus was never referred to as a baby. She didn't want to hear the word and mentally shut it out of her mind."

Why?
Well,it demonstrates the strength of perceptions. People can choose to believe,or not to. But a life is a life, once it has been given birth to. Some things can't simply be avoided, and pushed to the back of our minds, just like how Kathy suffered after treating her baby like a fetus, and inadvertently caused its death. It also reveals the hypocrisy of humans, how we can simply 'switch off' our emotions towards certain things, once we classify them under a colloquial term, such as the difference between 'baby' and 'fetus'.

I tend to get so caught up in the world that I forget to look at the world around me. I take for granted that I am able to live my life in such a safe and peaceful environment while there are others out there who don't even live to see daylight. Tiny Tim's story makes me reconsider my view on life and reminds me that life is really precious!!!

The scar will last forever."

I empathize with Kathy over the severe depression she has faced as a result of her abortion. Although time may fade, the scars of abortion will never heal... Once done, it can't be undone... Tiny Tim and the unborn may not be with us but they leave a heart-wrenching scar on humanity, a scar that haunts us in pro-life versus pro-choice debates.

"Abortion kills twice. It kills the body of the baby and it kills the conscience of the mother. Abortion is profoundly anti-women. Three quarters of its victims are women: Half the babies and all the mothers."
~ Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta
