Jesus Tells the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant

Just this last week, Jesus Christ was spotted teaching parables on the street once again. He spoke to large crowds of people, telling them a parable involving an unforgiving servant. This servant had been forgiven 10,000 talents by his lord, but when one of his servants owed him a considerably less amount of one hundred denarii, he was not merciful to him. Because the servant did not show mercy, the lord that had originally forgiven him, decided that he would no longer forgive him and tortured him until the debt was paid off.
Rumour has it that Jesus' parable has a secret meaning! People believe that Jesus is trying to send the message that we will not be forgiven by our God if we are not forgiving of our fellow man. This being the case, Jesus is making some very bold moves by implying that we must be forgiving of sinners in today's society! Some say that Jesus should not be suggesting such foolish ideas. However, he has been gaining disciples every day that support his good news and agree with his informative ideas about how we should be following our God.

Jesus' Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane

Jesus is spotted once again, but this time, in the Garden of Gethsemane. He claims to have been paying the price for all the sins of mankind. That's right! He has supposedly taken away the sins of every man, women, and child who has, or ever will live on the Earth. Some say this truly another one of his amazing miracles, fulfilling the prophecies of the Old Testament. However, some are skeptical saying that He could not have possibly suffered that immense amount of pain. Some say that that comes at just to great a cost for one man to experience alone. However, according to His closest followers, he is believed to be the son of God and to be both fully God and fully man, capable of bearing such a cost.
According to close eye witnesses, Jesus went down to the garden and prayed to the father and bled from every poor. In a way that we have never seen before, Jesus shows his vulnerable and humanlike characteristics when he asks for the cup to be taken from him.

The Women's March is "Good News"

On January 21, 2017, approximately 2000 years after the death of Jesus Christ, his message of women equality was reborn in the Women's March. About 5 million people came together to march for a cause, a cause that was once fought for by the very Son of God.
When Jesus was on the Earth, he broke social customs by inviting women to share in his message, the same as men. He did not discriminate and befriended many women equally as he would men. He was different than people of his time and when he was risen from the dead, the first person he visited was in fact a women, Mary Magdalene.
This march was taken place to remind the world of the strength of women in this time and age. They marched for women, they marched for equality, and they marched for respect. All of these represent values that were highly stressed by Jesus 2000 years ago.

The Beatitudes

Following the beatitudes, in my opinion, is what it means to truly live the gospel of Christ. He came to this Earth to give man the new law which centered around his teachings of the beatitudes. I believe that the beatitudes are what set Jesus apart from Jewish tradition and customs. They go against what is normally preferred in society. Instead of being proud, he tells us to be meek. Instead of being wealthy he asks us to be poor in spirit. I know that when I follow the beatitudes, I am truly in God's Kingdom on Earth. They also make me feel like it's okay not to live as the world wants me to because Christ asks differently of me. They help me stay on the right track and know if I am on the path that leads to heaven with God.
Just like the sun rises, faithful followers of the beatitudes can rise and be the light of Christ in a dark and misguided world.
