She wakes up to the bad news, that The Defenders figured out the sequence. At the same time, she is informed that Jennifer (her agent) is also managing Peter Petrawicki. She gets mad, that Robin knew and never told her, so she fires him. At the end of the chapter, April calls Maya and together they figure out the 767 sequence. She finds out that the solution to the sequence is her seat number from the flight she took to meet Jennifer Putnam and a weird code on the broken flight television. They refuse to talk to the media, but one night Andy decides to open up and eventually he begins to give talks all over the country. Months later there is a knock at the door and a text for Andy from April May's phone number. There she meets Jessica, a paramedic whose job is to keep April awake and support her. They chat for a while and things get a bit flirty. April's blood pressure is quite low, but her life is not in danger. Eventually they reach the hospital and April gives Jessica the flash cards and makes her pass it to the check-in desk to keep it safe. April's injuries are summed up upon arrival, and she goes into the hospital.

She is trying to piece together what has happened. Her parents come to visit and they seem a bit weird. They are acting like nothing really has happened. Suddenly the president arrives. She asks for April's footage of situation which April does not have. She also enlightens April about what they are going to do with Carl. They are going to make a trial and treat Carl like a human being.
April ends up telling the president everything she knows about Carl and the Dream.

A couple of days later April has another arrangement with the president. April is told that they have to perform for the cameras so the situation can settle and so the president can be seen actively working on defusing the threat.

Where there is no sign of Peter Petrawicki, when she shows up to the warehouse, she turns on her live-stream. 
She tells the livestream that she solved the sequence. 
Going though the fence she talks about the 767 sequence and finds a door. By the door there are clothes smelling like grape jelly. 
She gets inside the warehouse, and walks some stairs. 
She hears "golden years in the distance" and Miranda tells her to get out, and then to run. 
She discovers that it was a setup, and the door slams..... du du du duuuuuu.

Here she makes a video to her fans, where she explains her feelings, frustrations and about the last puzzle sequences. Afterwards she takes a nap, in her sleep she dreams about the plane and the 767 sequence, because she finds out that it is a part of the song "Call me maybe". She sings the entire song so the plane lands, now she can investigate it. April finally finds another clue, but while investigating her foot slips and she hits her head. Then she wakes up from the dream.

Carl tells April that at this moment, she is not  dead. He thinks that the human species is beautiful, and he tells her that her story has only just begun. Carl explains that they came to observe and see how the humans would react to them. It is the beginning of a progress for the Carls.

She tries to find a way out but can't. After a little while she starts to smell smoke, but she doesn't really think about it. She is livestreaming during the whole thing and at some point she admits some of the mistakes she has made to all the people who are watching. April starts to realise that she is in real danger, so she starts looking for a way out and object to open the door with. Aprils speaks to Robin in her phone, and he tells her that the building is on fire and that the police and the firemen 
can´t get inside. A fireman takes over the phone and starts to tell April what to do. He tells her that she needs to jump out of the window. When she does that she falls into another room. The fire is growing more and more, but april is still livestreaming and is on the phone with miranda and the fireman. Suddenly April thinks she has broken another code and tells it to miranda and the livestream. The last thing that happens is that the building falls down in her and hit her. We think that she dies.
