2. “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons represents how guy montag feels in the book, like everything is changing and he's so much different then most people in his society. The song compares a lot to how Guy begins to feel different in the beginning and throughout the book.

3. “ Tonight I wanna cry '' by Keith Urban connects to the loss of someone important being lost and now loneliness, like how Guy Montag may have felt when he lost Clarisse. Montag feels alone again now that he lost the one person who seemed different from everyone else“  lost Clarisse. 4. “Everything has changed '' By Taylor swift Connects right away just from the title, In the book and song throughout multiple actions everything they know and normally do changes whether they like it or not.
5.  “I See Fire '' by Ed Sheeran connects with the book because it speaks a lot about the effects and aspects of fire which is brought up a lot in the book because it's built around that plot. With Guy being a firefighter and fire being involved with his everyday life it's a very easy connection.

6. “Runaway” by Linkin Park represents how in the book Guy seeks to run away from his society and how he seeks the truth of why books are burned and unallowed. It represents Montags determination after he's made up his mind that society isn't right and they're trying to hide something.

7. “Love The Way You Lie” by Eminem is a very easy connection to the book, it represents how everyone in society has been lying to Motag and feeding him lies. How everything has been kept a secret and now he's seeking to find the truth.

“Bad Blood” by Taylor swift represents the rivalry throughout the book between all the factions. Each fraction is a group of people from the society who believe in one specific thing. Most of them do not like any faction other than theirs which causes fights and rivalries to break out. “Now we got bad blood, you know it used to be mad love” is the first line of the song that explains the rivalries exactly. People weren’t always stuck into factions of society, they used to be families living normal lives full of love. 

“Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons represents the strength of the characters throughout the book. There is a faction called “dauntless” who are the “brave people” and focus on fighting and building up strength. I could definitely imagine this song playing in the back of my mind while I read parts of the Divergent book where they were training and fighting. 

“Crazy in Love” by Beyonce represents the love that Tris has for Tobias. She falls deeply in love with him. She mentions in the book that it feels like her heart stops when she sees him. “Crazy in love” is a song about being in love with someone and everything they do, which is exactly how Tris feels about Tobias. 

“Brave” by Sara Bareilles represents how Tris was brave enough to be her own person and make her own decisions. It was hard for her to leave her family but she was brave enough to realize who she really was and where she really belonged. Regardless of what everyone had to say about her. 

“Cold” by Maroon 5 represents the antagonist in the story, Jeanine. She is a cold ruthless character and this song fits her perfectly. “How did you get so cold, enough to chill my bones” is a line from the song that greatly describes how Jeanine treats everyone around her. She is incredibly manipulative and feels as if she's better than everyone else. 

“Warrior” by Demi Lavato represents the story as a whole “All the pain and the truth I wear like a battle wound So ashamed, so confused I was broken and bruised Now I'm a warrior” Is a line from the song that represents how Tris became the person she was by the end of the story. She realized that it didn't matter what anybody told her or where anyone else thought she belonged. It only matters that she knew who she was. This relates all the way back to the main theme of the book which is finding yourself and finding your identity and this song and the lyrics fit perfectly.
