The maple leaf has been a symbol of Canada since 1965. Canada's large forest full of maple trees leave the  forest floor full of orange, red, and yellow in autumn. More than 75 percent of Canada population live at the border between Canada and the US. The rest of Canada, the second largest country, with 25 percent of its population to live else where. The grand river is a large river connected by dozens of tributaries that runs through Kitchener. The grand river is a known and popular canoeing spot. The river also has a trail called the Grand valley trail, it is 275 km in length. Kitchener is home to three large hospitals, Grand river,  St marys general hospital, and the Cambridge memorial. The hospitals add onto Kitchener's well known health care based society. Hockey has been a part of my life since I was born. Growing up with a die hard Maple leafs fan like my father, it was hard not to let the hockey grow on me. Not many know this but when I was little I was considered one of the better players on my team. It wasn't until grade 3 that my nerves got to me and suddenly, I didn't want to play anymore. As my peers grew the got better while I stayed the same. By the time I considered it again I wasn't the best anymore, I was the worst. Losing my confidence, I hadn't played in a sign up league with kids my own age in a long time. About three ball hockey seasons ago I finally began to play in a league my age. I think of myself as a respectful, kind, and generous person that will give everyone the respect the deserve. Every time I leave school through the front doors I look behind me so I can hold the door for them. I can only think of one time when i was sent to the principles office in grade five for trying to hard in soccer. In class I give my full respect to the teacher be listening intently and trying my hardest to not engage in any conversation David attempts to drag me into.
