• From a computer, click the Info drop down at the top of your screen and choose Attendance. Under Attendance Log, you can Report Absence (choose the day and provide a reason).

• On the Studio Portal Pro phone app, attendance is under the More option.

Competition dress rehearsal fees: $15 per dancer, $20 for dancers with a solo, $30 for dancers with 2 solos - due in Feb.

Updates

ID Competition – March 20–22, 2026 | Cleveland
(Solos, Duos, Trios, and Mini Comp)

• We expect to receive the schedule soon and will share it with families as soon as it becomes available.

• Dancers registered for Title must complete a Dancer Bio Form. This will be read by the ID emcee prior to their solo performance.

• If your dancer is interested in participating in the new Improv Event at ID, please email catrinasbds@gmail.com.

  • Cost: $40 per student

  • Improv events will take place around awards for each level

  • This is a great opportunity for dancers of all levels.

Reminders

Competition Team Dress Rehearsal

• Location: West Holmes High School

• Date: March 14

• All routines will rehearse this day.

Performers must:

• Arrive at least 30 minutes before their first scheduled routine

• Be fully prepared (hair, makeup, costume, accessories)

• Arrive stretched and ready to perform

Please:

• Review the March 14 rehearsal schedule

• Sign up (optional) to bring food or drinks using the schedule document

• Ensure your dancer has all required costumes, shoes, makeup, and accessories as seen in this document.

The SBDS Comp Padlet will continue to host all important competition updates.

ID Improv Showcase – March 20–22 (at ID Competition)
💲 $40 participation fee

A fun opportunity for dancers to improvise to music, build confidence, and showcase artistry. Winners receive a banner, $50 Mastercard, and scholarship opportunities.

Looking Ahead:
Journey Dance Connection will be back at SBDS on July 11 for another exciting intensive experience. This event is required for members of the 2026–27 SBDS Competition Team but is open to all dancers who wish to attend. Stay tuned for more details - we can’t wait!

Reminders:

• Please arrive at the venue fully ready 2 hours prior to your routine.

• If your routine is less than 2 hours after doors open, please arrive ready to go when doors open.

• Big/Little Sibling Reminder: We kindly ask that no gifts be exchanged at competitions. Instead, encourage dancers to share thoughtful notes, letters, uplifting cards, help each other stretch, and offer positive support.

• Please make sure your performer takes home all required supplies, dance shoes, and any other items before the studio closes this Thursday evening.

Looking Ahead:
There will be no canceled classes the week of April 13. All competition and recreational classes will continue as scheduled.

We are also planning to perform the Pom competition dance. If your Pom dancer cannot participate in the August 11 fair event, please let us know ASAP.
