As our respective offspring became old enough to look after themselves during the evening, Kath and I joined John and Linda for regular Saturday nights out with their group of friends. That developed into our gang taking regular holidays abroad, including cruises from Barbados and other overseas jollies. We shared many holidays together, playing golf in numerous countries, scuba diving in the Caribbean, getting ‘blind drunk’ on Spanish Brandy in Tenerife, going to watch Everton (The Mighty Blues )at Goodison every week and on the odd occasion at Wembley.

Honouring a friends passing is about honouring Johns life and I am please I had the opportunity to be part of his life which is something I will truly miss.

He will be remembered by many for his wealth of Industry knowledge, loyalty to his peers and a massively engaging sense of humor
Born in a generation whereby many suburban families started off in a humble upbringing John became a respected Industry expert and a Senior Director of Engineering.
John always stood by his colleagues and friends and I am proud to have known him. He will not be forgotten and was a credit to himself, his family and his peers.

John was a dedicated Trustee who brought to the role a wealth of business and personal experience. He was involved in many areas of the charity and always had plenty of excellent ideas to improve the services we offer. He made a huge contribution to Parkhaven Trust and he will be greatly missed.

To honour John’s memory we will be planting a special tree on the grounds at Parkhaven Trust’s Headquarters site.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to John’s family at this sad time.
