Reading a Fantasy Story
*Before this activity the teacher can create an anchor chart with the students explaining the elements of fantasy and give examples.
*The students will be assigned with reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and while they are reading they will write down notes on the fantastical objects, words, nonhuman characters, and aspects of the setting. These notes will stay in a section of their notebook titled "fantasy" and the class will discuss their findings.

*This activity gets students' creativity flowing and is a low-stress way to show their knowledge of fantasy elements.
