A <strong>rhetorical device</strong> is a use of language that is intended to have an effect on its audience. <br>2. <strong>Parallelism</strong> is a literary device in which parts of the sentence are grammatically the same, or are similar in construction. It can be a word, a phrase, or an entire sentence repeated. <br>3. <strong>Antithesis </strong>means opposite and is used as a literary device to put two contrasting ideas together. This emphasizes the difference between the two ideas and adds interest to writing.<br>4. The <strong>structure</strong> of literature can be described as the <strong>organizational</strong> method of the written material.<br>5, An <strong>argument</strong> in literature is a brief summary, often in prose, of a poem or section of a poem or other work. It is often appended to the beginning of each chapter, book, or canto.
