Phonetics starts with Panini that is considered the founder of the language and literature, he was a sanskript grammarian in the 500 BC that helped to birth the linguistic science in Western Europe. By the late of 1800 the international phonetic association created the IPA, after years 4 events developed phonetics: The Laryngoscope (1829), the first look at the vocal cords (1852), The grammophone (1877) and the International Phonetic Association (1886)

We saw six topics, all of them relationated with the speech and pronounciation, the comparsion of British and US English was interesting, the tone, the pronounciation, even the words change, the word stress of how to pronounce better some words to the point that you can sound more natural, the rhytm and intonation that helps to the fluency and the musicality of the speech, how continues word by word and keep a good tone of voice.

The ways to improve pronounciation that can help us to pronounce better and express ourselves with native speakers, the topic of challenges in pronounciation for non-native speakers was very accurate because i think all of us had those problems when we started or we have them nowadays but it is not impossible to improve, the cognates and false friends was very interesting, i didn´t know that was named like that but it´s true of how words can be confused because of how they are spelled or written, all of the topics help to improve our konwledge and speaking

I have learned a lot in this semester, i feel like i did great but as always i have to improve, this is the first time that i studied phonetics deeply and as a result i improved my pronounciation and tone of voice, i think i need to give more force or rhythm to my voice and less monotonism, because sometimes i talk too serious, i need to be more dramatic or express more feelings, i improved a lot but i have to keep improving to do it better, i enjoyed learning about phonetics eventhough sometimes i didn´t know how to do it good but that´s why we are learning.

Some advices that i could give it could be, take time to explain every letter of the IPA because there were some vowels that some people confused or didn´t know how to use it pretty well, i know that there is no much information to give but a little more practice would be perfect
