This intriguing story centers around the idea of environmental awareness. The characters in this book realize that their actions have a direct impact on the environment and that they can do things to make the earth a better place. The illustrations in this book are amazing and include a lot of color. I think any child ages kindergarten all the way through middle school would enjoy this picture book.

This heartfelt book is more of a mature read than the other picture books I chose. This book is about a boy who keeps taking and taking from a tree until the tree has nothing left. The message of this book teaches us that we should love without expecting anything in return. This book could be valuable in a 3rd through 5th grade classroom.
