Year 1 & 2

KS1 and KS2 enjoyed a wonderful Reading Buddies session on World Book Day. Our older pupils visited KS1 classrooms, where the younger children were thrilled to read their favourite books to their buddies.

The KS2 children were genuinely impressed by the confidence and fantastic reading skills they saw and it was lovely to watch the children connect through their shared love of stories. It was a joyful experience for everyone involved and a real celebration of reading across the school.

Year 1 & 2 Trip to Wisley

Payment information is now available on your app, please make a note of the deadline of Monday 13th April 2026

PE days for Year 1 & Year 2 are on Mondays and Wednesdays

Year 3 & 4

In Science this week, Year 3 have been exploring how water is transported in plants and have used food colouring to see the journey water takes through celery.

They have also been using spring daffodils to investigate variables and to see what plants need to live and grow.

Year 4 have been learning about how environments can change and how this can impact animals. They each chose an endangered animal to research using fact files and had lots of wonderful suggestions about how humans could help.

A busy week, well done everyone!

Year 3 Trip to The Albury Estate

Payment information is now available on your app, please make a note of the deadline of Monday 13th April 2026

PE days for Year 3 & Year 4 are Tuesdays & Thursdays

Year 5 & 6

This week in science, the children had a hands‑on opportunity to explore the components of blood!
As part of our topic, they created a model of blood using everyday items: Cheerios, red food colouring, spiky balls and marshmallows. Each ingredient represented a different part of real blood, helping the children understand what blood is made of and why each component is important. It was a fun (and slightly messy!) way to bring learning to life.
Ask your child what each item represented — can they remember the role of each blood component?

PE days for Year 5 & Year 6 are Thursdays and Fridays
