Mr.Wonka gave the 3 grandparents too much Wonka-Vite and they turned into babies and ate Vita-Wonka and turned back into old people.
I enjoy the book because it has some creative ideas of tablets like “Wonka-Vite” and “Vita-Wonk” that makes you age.
I rate this book 7/10.
Author:Roald Dahl

Author: Dan TDM
Trayaurus And The Enchanted Crystal is about a enchanted crystal that landed on earth and shattered into 5 fragments. Dan and Trayaurus found one fragment and tested it and found that the ratings were off the charts. Meanwhile Denton (There enemy) also found one fragment and he had a cloning machine. He used the cloning medicine on himself. The clones were half his size because the power was not enough so he found 2 crystals and added them together now he was fighting over 1 and the 1 in Dan and Trayaurus’s lab. After that Denton got all the fragments and got giant clones of himself. In the end Dan destroyed the crystal but unfortunately Denton got away and all the clones vanished.
I enjoyed it because I like Minecraft and Dan is one of my favorite YouTubers.
I rate this book 9/10.

It has funny comics and lots of things about pollution that we should not do because nearly 25 million people in the world die every year because of water pollution and about 1 billion people don’t have access to clean water. In terms of energy ceramic solar panels were selling well and it was better than a normal solar panel because it could store solar energy.
I enjoyed it because I had a lot of fun reading it and it was funny, like saying white boxes produce white pollution so the seller painted it black.
I rate this book 9/10.

There has been lots of invaders that have succeeded to capture York but there has also been a lot of killing in York for crimes like: Blocking The king's Soldiers way, Refusing To Plead Guilty, Witchcraft and Conspiracy To Murder. The punishments were cruel like: Hacked To Death, Crushed To Death, Burnt At Stake and Hanged (You get a rope tied by your neck as they open a trapped door beneath your feet). Luckily York is a safe place today compared to the olden days.
I enjoyed it because it had many jokes that go with the facts so it isn't boring as I read it.
I rate this book 8/10

Author: R.J.Palacio
Wonder was about a 10 year old boy called August and he was born deformed. And this year he was going to start middle school but the thing is he has never been to a real school so he was petrified. Since his mom homeschooled him he didn’t get the idea of homework. He has a sister 4 years older than him that started high school called Via, short for Olivia (she was not ugly, she was pretty). When Auggie, short for August, went to school there were 3 kids waiting for him that Mr Tushman(the principal) called. There names were Jack, Julian and Charlotte. They were going to show Auggie around middle school. Then Julian asked Auggie “What’s wrong with your face?”. Then Jack defended him by saying “Mr Tushman told us remember!?”, at that point Auggie knew that Jack would be his best friend. After that, August actually liked school. At lunch Auggie made a new friend called Summer. She liked him like Jack as a friend. Auggie was good at lots of the subjects, he was way ahead in science he even let Jack cheat off of him. At the end of the year, the 5th graders went for a retreat (residential) for 3 days & 2 nights. Auggie and a few of his new friends(Jack, Amos, Miles & Henry)were bullied and got into a fight against 7th graders and Auggie’s team won. After that he started to get more friends. At the end of the school year August received an award for the nature of kindness, the power of friendship, the strength of his courage and qualities that define us as human beings(this is the Henry Beecher Award). And as for Julian, his parents pulled him out of school.
I enjoyed this book because it involved being kind and looking at people on the inside, not the outside.
I give this book 10/10

Author: R.J Palacio
365 days of wonder is about precepts (mottoes or inspirational lies)to inspire you for 365 days (read 1 everyday). It’s not actually a story but it motivates you. These are my top 6 favorites of the book:
1. When given the choice of being right or being kind choose kind.
2.

Author: Jeffrey Brown
Star Wars Jedi Academy was about a boy named Roan living with his family: his mom, dad, older brother and his baby brother. Roan wanted to go to a pilot middle school. Most of his friends got in but he didn’t but he got selected for Jedi Academy. So he needed to go to school on a different planet. He left his family and left for the space bus. The first few weeks were ok, he made new friends but also got bullied by Cyrus and Cronah (for the whole year). As he settled in he got As and Bs except for using the force he got a D+ for that. Then there was a light-saber tournament in the school that he wanted to be in. When it was tied 2-2 there was 1 last battle with his friend versing the bully’s team member but when his friend was about to be eliminated he used the force, unintentionally, and switched off the light-saber. That was cheating so his team was eliminated so it was on the news papers in his school. He was giving up hope. In the end of year test he needed to use the force to lift a giant rock and when he tried without hope he lifted all 7 giant rocks. Then everyone was shocked and he wanted to stay for the next year. The End.
I enjoyed this book because it was about Star Wars and the main character is in middle school.
I rate this book 8/10

Author: Rold Dahl
The missing golden ticket was about Rold Dahl’s life and how he wrote Charlie and the chocolate factory. As we know, he redrafted Charlie and the chocolate factory 3 times and the first time he wrote about Charlie (the main character) who fell into a giant pot of melted chocolate and got turned into a chocolate statue of himself but no one knew. The second time he had written it is that there were 10 naughty children but after that he thought that that was too many naughty children so he decided to lower the amount to 7. After that the third time he did it it is the Charlie and the chocolate factory we know. He had gotten all of these ideas from his past (surprisingly) the idea of the chocolate factory was that in Rold Dahl’s past, his school apparently had chocolate taste testing that’s how he got the love of chocolate from(only at the age of 15).
I enjoyed this book because I get to learn more about Rold Dahl and I get to learn a new recipe.
I rate this book 7/10

The Diamond brothers I know what you did last Wednesday

Author: Anthony Horowitz
The diamond brothers I know what you did last Wednesday is about two brothers living without there parents and they are very poor. Each day they only have about 17 pieces of cornflakes for the entire day! One day the older brother Tim got a letter from his school mate Rory McDougal, the letter said that there would be a reunion from Wednesday -Friday and that he would pay him £1000 to come. He already bought the train ticket 1st class. So Tim did go for it and since Nick (the younger brother) needed to come too they traded it for 2 tickets. So in a few hours they arrived, there were 6 other people:Eric, Janet, Sylvie, Mark, Brenda and Libby. They were also invited by Rory. Then there was a boat that came called the silver medal, the captain had arrived. He brought them to Crocodile Island (there were no crocodiles). He said he would pick them up in a few days. They arrived in front of a large building and they went in. When they went in Rory wasn’t there so Eric said that they should split up and find Rory. Suddenly there was a scream. Then everyone came running into the room. Rory was dead. Then after that they all had a meeting in the kitchen. “There is a murderer on this island” said Eric. After a few hours, he called a search around the island. Unfortunately they didn’t find anything. Soon after, night has fallen. No one got good sleep that night. Sylvie was lying on her back. She had died from eating a poisoned chocolate in her room. The same day Janet was stabbed by an Eiffel Tower model. Then they found a picture of 9 school teenagers in the living room: Eric, Janet, Sylvie, Mark, Brenda, Libby, Rory, Tim and another teenager Nadler that was not here. Then Libby went outside to smoke. Suddenly there was a globe that hit her head from the roof. At night there was a meeting, then the lights turned off, there was a gun fire, there was a thump and a door open and close. Then Eric was shot by the gun, Brenda was killed by the organ pipe and Tim hid under the coffee table. But Mark had left the room! Then when they left the house they saw Mark lying on the floor with a javelin through his chest. After that Tim thought that Nick was the murderer. So he ran for the mountains but Nick wouldn’t stop chasing because he wasn’t the murderer. Then Tim had ran to the edge. There was a mine bomb beneath Tim's feet. Then Nick grabbed his shirt pulling him up. After that the murderer apeared and it was actualy Nadler. He was explaining his whole scheme, then he wanted revenge so he shot at Tim but he missed then he was going to shoot Nick next instead. Eric appeared behind Nadler and knocked him on the head and got Tim and Nick up. After that they tied up Nadler and sailed back to the mainland.
I liked this book because it was about a murderer that kills everyone 1 by 1 but got knocked out by someone while talking.
I rate this book 10/10

Author: Michael Morpurgo
Michael Morpurgo War Horse is about a young horse that was bought by a man. The man was the father of Albert and he was usually drunk. Albert was a good kid (12 years old) he talkedto the horse and calmed him down. Albert decided to call him Joey. Joey was easily soothed by Albert’s voice but always afraid of Albert’s dad. They lived in a farm where one day Albert’s dad told Albert that Joey needed to earn his keep and that he only had one week to train him or else he would be sold. So Albert trained Joey for the week but Joey didn’t like it. After that one week, Albert’s father actually won a bet because of Joey. It was great until Albert’s dad needed to sell Joey to the army so he could keep the farm. They needed to give Joey to captain Nicholas in the army. Albert made a promise to Joey that he would find him during or when the war is over. Joey was very unhappy because his entire body was aching after everyday. One week of Joey’s training has passed and he was the best horse in the army. Then Joey was brought into the war and he had a companion that was a horse that was as fast as him named Topthorn. Then there was a lost in the Calvary so no one on each side would want to use the Calvary any more. So Joey, Topthorn and the other horses pulled carts from the hospital instead. Then winter had come and made everyone weak, men and horses with no shelter. There was a girl just like Albert but she was called Emely. She visited everyday to look after Joey and Topthorn with her grandfather. In a few weeks the army gave Joey and Topthorn to Emely in the farmland. But unfortunately in a few months Emely had to give the horses back to the army. One dark day struck, Topthorn died to a gun fire. After that Joey ran and ran then he found himself in the middle of no mans land. Then a man came out of the trench and took Joey to a hospital because he had barbed wire in his leg then Joey and Albert got reunited with each other. The barbed wire was removed and Joey was recovering then the war ended at the 11th of November. After the war all the horses had to be left behind and not come back. They had to auction and sell all the horses. Then Emely’s grandfather bought Joey in the auction and was nice enough to give Joey to Albert.
I enjoyed this book because it had a roller coaster of emotions, sad and happy.
I rate this book 10/10.

Author: Tom Watson

Stick Dog Wants a Hot Dog is about a stick dog that is constantly hungry (he’s a stray). He went to the park with his 4 friends: Poo-poo, Karen Mutt and Stripes. Then they found a frankfurter cart in the park, it was their lucky day. Then they saw a raccoon aiming for the same cart. Stick Dog asked his friends for a plan and the plan was to sneak around the frankfurter cart and hide behind the hanging sheets then jump out and grab as many frankfurters as possible. That was the plan they went with so they ran to the back of the cart. But when they hid behind the sheets a man came and collected a laundry basket that Karen fell into. Luckily the man went down to the basement and got on a tread mill. So Karen told Stick Dog and the others that she could jump out the 2nd floor window. Then Stick Dog got a sheet and asked the others to pull the corners out for Karen to jump. After Karen’s once in a lifetime fall they waited for about 10 minutes until Peter, the frankfurter man, turned around and they jumped out. But they tripped over the sheet so it looked like a ghost and Peter ran away and Stick Dog got a mouth full of frankfurters for the racoon and ran back with his friends to feast.

I enjoyed reading this book because the story is always about how stick dog and his friends have interesting plans to steal food.

I rate this book 8/10

Author: Neil Gaiman
Odd and the Frost Giant is about a boy called Odd and his father has just recently died, so his mother married a man called Big Alfred while Odd's leg was still injured. One day Odd went to his dad's old hut then went into the forest. When he went deeper, he saw a fox that looked like it wanted Odd to follow it. While Odd was walking he saw an eagle following him and the fox. Then in a few minutes, Odd and the fox arrived in front of a bear that was stuck in between two trees. Its paw was stuck in a tree with honey and its back leg got stuck by a smaller tree's branches. Then without thinking twice, Odd went straight to the bear and cut the small tree down and the bear's foot was release. That was when the bear let Odd sit on his back. Then the bear took Odd back to his hut and Odd welcomed them in(the bear, fox and eagle). He fed all of them, including himself, salmon. Then he fell asleep. When he woke up he heard the animals talking. Then the bear told Odd that he was Thor. The fox was next and he was Loki then the eagle said he was Odin. Odd had no expression on his face and shrugged. Then Thor said that they needed a rainbow to go back to Asgard. Odd agreed and ask them to follow him to a frozen waterfall, explaining that there is meant to be a rainbow. He used an axe to cut a chunk of the frozen waterfall and took it out, tilted it back and forth and got the reflection of a rainbow. Then the eagle flew down towards the rainbow and hit it hard and took the bridge to Asgard. The bear and fox followed. When they arrived Asgard, Odd and the fox went to collect firewood to start a campfire while the bear and eagle fished for fish. They all had a feast and slept. Loki told Odd that frost giants took over Asgard. Odd wanted to go defeat the frost giants alone which took him days to arrive. Upon arrival, he told the frost giant he came to defeat him, but frost giant said thats impossible. Odd smiled at the giant, and that smile saved his life. After a long conversation, Odd convinced the frost giant to go back to where he came from. Then Odd went to the great hall to ask Freya to turn Thor, Loki and Odin back to their godly self. Odd said goodbye to everyone and return to his village.
I enjoyed this book because it was linked with my favorite Asgard villein: Loki.
I rate this book 9/10

Author: Enid Blyton - illustrated by Tony Ross
The Secret Seven is about a team of 7 people: Peter, Janet, Jack, Barbara, Pam, Colin, Gorge and Scamper. They always go off and solve mysteries. One day they had a new password (toad in the hole) and wanted everyone to meet at the S.S. Shed (secret seven shed). Everyone but Jack came to the meeting early but Jack forgot the password. When Jack wanted to come into the S.S. Shed, he forgot the password but his little sister Sue said the password. When Peter opened the door he was furious that Sue knew the password. He was also upset because Jack forgot the password then lost his temper and said that Jack was no longer part of the Secret Seven. After Jack had left, everyone told Peter to write an apology letter to Jack which he did. The next day, Sue came to the S.S. Shed to give them a note which Jack wrote saying he would not like to re-join the Secret Seven because he is making his own Secret Seven and they can be the Secret Six. After the have been caught up with the argument, there was soon to be a dog thief. Then the Secret Six was on the case. Now they are trying to find the dog thief. They reported to the police and the police said that the dog thief had big feet and was very heavy. The Secret Six had a list of suspects for the dog thief: the mailman and Bony (Jack's friend). They called another Secret Six meeting to find out who was the dog thief but when they ended the meeting, Scamper their dog was missing. Then Colin told Jack that there was a dog thief that stole Scamper. When Jack heard Colin say that he was puzzled. At night Jack was snooping in the mailman's house's shed and found big boots that were not his size. When he saw that he thought that the mailman was the dog thief because the footprints the police found were big. Then Jack instantly ran to Peter's house and told him that the dog thief was the mailman. And so, they reported him to the police and the case was closed. Scamper was back and Jack was back in the Secret Seven.
I enjoyed this book because I like to solve mysteries.
I rate this book 9/10

The Last Battle

Author: C.S. Lewis
The Last Battle is about an Ape and a Donkey that lived happily together. The Ape always made the Donkey work for him but the Donkey was not so smart and always listen to what the Ape said. The Ape was called Shift and the Donkey was named Puzzle. One day, they found something floating in Caldron Pool (a lake). When they saw something floating in the water, Shift told Puzzle to go into Caldron Pool and get it out to let him see. Puzzle got it out and noticed its a Lion Skin. Shift also told Puzzle to get him some bananas to eat. Shift made a sweater to put on. After Puzzle put on the Lion Skin, Shift spread a rumor that Aslan has came back to Narnia. When the King heard about it, he was puzzled. His Unicorn friend also heard about it. There was a Dryad that ran towards them and died before she could speak. Because her tree was cut down. King Tirian and his Unicorn friend fled straight for the forest. As soon as they reached the forest, their anger got over them and they killed 2 men. They noticed what they have done and gave themselves up to the men, the men took them to Shift "Lord". Shift tied King Tirian to a tree and left him there. When night fell, the King saw a huge bonfire and heard a crowd of creatures calling Aslan. He fell asleep and in his dream he was at a table but could not talk at that time. He tried calling out for help and went back to the forest. another day a young girl and a young boy came, called Jill and Eustace. They had to run away as fast as they could before people notice them. They were back at a tower where they rested, there were bows, arrows, bow strings and more. They went out to hunt the Unicorn at another stable that was guarded. The King and Unicorn reunite. in the same stable they found a donkey that was dressed in Lion's skin. The King said this donkey started the rumour but the donkey said it was not him that started the rumour, its the Ape. Next, King Tirian was fighting the minions of Tash. The minions were slowly pushing the King towards the stable door. when the King noticed, it was too late, he was into the stable. the doors closed, he was already teleported to another location. Now the King is confused because a second ago he was in a war with blood on his face, and now he is properly dressed and clean. The King and the previous King Peter and Queen Lucy were there with him, including Eustace and Jill. After that all the Narnians came through the door and locked the other men out in a cold internal winter. Everyone was happy as there was warm sunlight. for some reason everyone started running through the forest, mountains, grass and made their way to Aslan's country. They were then greeted by a Mouse called Reepicheep and all the other Narnia legends. Aslan has sent Peter, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace and Jill back to their normal world where holidays have began.

I do not like this book at the same time I do like this book because it does not have proper grammar and so I couldn't read fluently. I enjoyed it because it had lots of magic doors/portals in this Narnia book.
I rate this book 5/10

Author: Ken Jennings
Ken Jennings' Junior Genius Guides The Human Body is not a story book but a science book. These were my favorite parts of the book:
"Since the human body has about forty trillion cells in it, that means that you contain more than forty-five billion miles of DNA... enough to stretch between the Sun and Pluto twelve times!"
"In fact, on a dark night the human eye is capable of seeing a single match being lit fifty miles way! But the old saying about carrots being good for your night vision? Not true. That was a cover story invented by the British air force during World War II."
The normal human being has 650 skeletal muscles but a caterpillar has 4000 skeletal muscles!
The human brain is so powerful that if your doctor gives you a fake pill and tells you that the pill will make you feel better, when you eat it you will feel better!
The heart is the most hard working organ in your body. Your heart can pump 28 quarts of bloodin a minute, 2000 gallons a day, 1 olympic-size pool a year and 3 oil tankers in a lifetime!
In 1900 average people live for 47 years, 1930 average people live for 60 years, 1950 average people live for 68 years and in 2010 average people live for 79 years!
I enjoyed this book because there were nice jokes with facts.
I rate this book 10/10.
