This song is a beautiful piece that describes how that people are becoming happier because nature is blooming now that the sun is emerging. It relates to transcendentalism because it is about nature and how it brings forth happiness to people. Nature is the only pure thing that is free from the corrupting influences of society due to its norms.

This mindset is parallel with Thoreau's by doing things on your own terms, and marching to your own beat. Along with this, Bon Jovi delves into an idea that models the logic behind carpe diem by "living while i'm alive" and seizing the moment.

Self reliance is all a man needs to be successful by his own standards. People often confuse the societal norms with being the right thong to do, that is simply not true. There is no defined, 'right thing" to do, there is only what an individual thinks is right, and isn't.
