         <description><![CDATA[<div>Gamification is a way of applying games to a persons health in order to improve their wellbeing. In young children, it can be harder for them to track their illness on their own, so by using games, it will give them the motivation to take their medication, check their blood sugar levels and eat a balanced diet.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A researcher, Abdi wrote a book in 2016 explaining the process of gamification and developed 4 phases to aid those with illnesses...<br>I can imagine you get sick and tired of your daily routine of checking your blood sugar levels when you wake up, eating a balanced diet, and checking your blood sugar levels again when you go to bed...this can be a daunting task, especially for a young person.<br>The use of gamification can you motivate yourself into following a daily routine whilst adding a fun element to it!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There have been apps that have been developed that give you goals and achievements when you take your pills on time or keep yourself hydrated. This app gives you goals, sets reminders and alerts when there may be a safety issue. You can collect points if you complete your daily tasks, and when these points are accumulated, you get the chance to win a $5-10 gift card or donate the money to charity.</div>]]></description>

A review of different pieces of research undertook at Kings Collage London by Hou, Hewitt, Francisca and Maylor showed that using apps helped with glycaemic control and was more effective with younger people. This shows how can they can helpful with self-management and change your behaviour keep you on-top of your illness.<br><br></div>]]></description>
