We practised this vocabulary using a word-search. Then we watched a short video about the history and origin of Halloween, as well as learning about some of the traditions. Firstly we played a guessing game with the new vocabulary, as it was fairly new vocabulary to the students we used images to help. Then I created a reading comprehension activity to explain the origin and traditions of Harvest fest. The students had to read the short text and answer the questions about what they had learnt. To finish the session we watched a short video as a visual aid to revise what they had learnt about Harvest fest. Firstly we tested what vocabulary the students could remember without any prompts before helping with visual aids. Then, in small groups, the students designed their own rollercoaster, train or skyscraper.
