This episode talked about hoe Podcasting can help improve the listening skills of students. They spend the first couple of minutes describing a podcast and its focus on the spoken word. They discussed how beneficial it is to listen to something instead of watching it unfold in front of you. They talk about how listening can help encourage creativity through the imagining of the images associated with the words you are hearing. They gave tips for someone who is starting out in the podcast world. Then they go in and talk about hoe podcasts help improve student oral comprehension skills and listening proficiency skills. Podcasts help students learn how to listen carefully, pick up details, and convey visual images.

https://www.brainson.org/episode/2021/07/06/why-do-songs-get-stuck-in-our-heads
The podcast I listened to discussed how certain songs can stay stuck in our heads for long periods of time and how to get rid of them. The adult and the child, who are the hosts, called the phrase "ear-worms" and they received responses from numerous children giving advice on how to get a song out their own heads. I like this podcast because the hosts made it interactive with the listeners, and gives them a chance to be involved.

Podcasts/audio files can promote collaboration in the classroom because students are able to listen and speak using audio file and podcasts in multiple settings. This works with accessibility and the access students have in creating their own podcast or listening to new podcast as a form of learning. Students can work as pairs, in groups, and as a class as well as with students in other classes and can combine their recordings into one entire podcast or audio file.
