I've learned a lot with my partners. Allene presented us technological tools that I haven't used before and some new ideas, such as the concept of vision board, which I will put them in practice in my English classes. My students, who are in the IT area, enjoyed to work with these technologies.

In relation to the tasks and the COIL project, it was simple, but very interesting. American and Brazilian students found many things in common and they were surprised and liked the experience. 

The challenge for my students was to speak due to shyness, however, they had the opportunity to reflect on how much effort they need to make to develop their communication.

The main constraint was the lack of time, we had less than three weeks, therefore, students didn't have opportunities to interact out of the syncronous meetings. Another important issue was the number of students, we had about 60 students in total. In my opinion it is more challenging to work with a large group.

Finally, I'd like to thank you SUNY coordinators and professors for sharing COIL knowledge with us. The initial challenge was to overcome the shyness of Brazilian students, but this "problem" was solved in the very first meeting. American instructors and students made everyone feel very comfortable sharing their experiences, life stories and opinions. The exchange between the two cultures was very fruitful, allowing us to discover new things about each other.

The project allowed our students to have new horizons and new perspectives.
