I don't agree with all the info in this graphic, but I like the set up. This could be developed with students, as not all behavior necessitates the same response. It would also be interesting to build positive consequences into the chart.

But this is one strategy to monitor who your students are, how they learn best, in an effort to differentiate teaching for engagement and learning. This isn't exactly related to rules and consequences. It's more related to a comment you made about the boys in your class, effort and motivation. And it's related to the idea of building positive consequences that are authentic.
