Large Motor Skills Child uses and coordinates their large muscle groups.</p></blockquote><p><br/></p><p>Children's Yoga: Search Youtube for children's yoga</p><p>-this creates an awareness of their bodies, they are able to see how it moves and how they can use it to regulate their emotions. </p><p>-enhances their range of motion and helps to create balance and coordination. </p><p><br/></p><blockquote><p>II. PHYSICAL WELL-BEING, HEALTH AND MOTOR DEVELOPMENT B. Small Motor Skills Child controls the small muscles in their hands and wrists.</p><p><br/></p></blockquote><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Playdough- Children will use playdough to squeeze, flatten, and mould dough into figures, shapes, and letters. </p><p>-this strengthens the muscles in their hands to help future small motor skills such as holding a crayon or cutting paper.</p>]]></description>

Memory and History Child develops the ability to store, retrieve, and share information about past experiences.</p></blockquote><p><br/></p><p>Story Sequencing</p><p>Read Three Little Pigs- </p><p>Ask children to retell the story using pictures from the story. What happened first? What happened next? What happened last? </p><p><br/></p><blockquote><p><em>V. COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT D. Investigating and Exploring Child becomes a scientific thinker by manipulating objects, asking questions, making observations and predictions, and developing generalizations.</em></p></blockquote><p><br/></p><p>Toys in ice. </p><p>Freeze small manipulatives in ice overnight. Give children different tools to get the toys out. Things to include; fork, spoon, hammer, block of wood, salt. Ask them to think of ideas how to get the toys out. Make a list and then allow them to experiment and try each one. </p>]]></description>

They will take different crayons, markes, and pencils in different colors to trace their names creating a rainbow effect. </p><p>-This will strengthen their letter formations and give some multi-sensory learning. </p>]]></description>

Child expresses comfort and joy with human diversity.</em></p></blockquote><p><br/></p><p>Show and Tell- Family Edition</p><p>Invite children to bring in family photo,  a family heirloom, make a recipe that great grandparents used to make etc.. and have them tell the class about it. </p><p><br/></p><p>-This gives children a chance to tell about who they are and where they come from. </p><p>-Children feel validated and have a sense of pride by sharing things about their family.</p><p><br/></p><blockquote><p><em>III. SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT E. Cooperation and Negotiation Child navigates friendships with peers through cooperation and negotiation</em></p></blockquote><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Create a "Solution Kit" </p><p>This includes cards that give different options on how to solve an issue among peers. Each week a new child is the "problem solver." They will be in charge of the kit and when there is an issue among peers, they get the kit and use it to try and come up with a solution to the problem. The kit includes pictures of </p><p>-Ask Nicely</p><p>-Share</p><p>-Trade</p><p>-Take turns</p><p>-Get a timer</p><p>-Play together</p><p>-ignore</p><p>-Say please</p><p>-Say please, stop</p><p>-Get a teacher</p><p>This gives the children confidence in handling issues on their own rather than immediately running to the teacher. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

Creativity and Inventiveness Child uses their imagination to create and invent.</em></p></blockquote><p><br/></p><p>Collages-</p><p>Give children "loose parts" including pom poms, googly eyes, cut out magazines, colored paper, tissue paper, stickers, and more. Give glue and paper and allow them to use their creativity to make a collage. You can give ideas of asking them to create something that makes them happy or what reminds them of the season we are in. </p><p>-Gives children creative freedom </p><p><br/></p><blockquote><p><em>I.
