I could paint the wall neon green if I wanted, play my drums as loud as I wanted, and I could entertain as long as I wanted. I was proud to be a new homeowner, but then rumors starting circulating within my organization about possible layoffs. Shortly after that, the organization conducted layoffs. Fortunately, my department was a central part of the organization, and we remained. I dealt with so many emotions during that period of transition, and I was grateful for it. It taught me to invest in my education, take advantage of the various company training to improve my skills and continue to save for a rainy day because you never know.

Superfan here! How many of us would survive a day at "the office"? I loved binge watching this show once I discovered it on Netflix. I loved this episode in particular because the character Meredith admitted to her co-workers in a ethics seminar hosted by Human Resources to sleeping with a certain salesperson to get a discount on supplies and coupons for Outback Steakhouse. The Human Resource specialist states that Meredith's actions are serious, a conflict of interest, and an exchange of goods. Or steak as Meredith reminds us. Spoiler alert. The company decides to ignore her confession, so then they can continue to get a discount for their supplies. In the real world, Meredith would have been fired, and the salesman would have been fired money and time invested in new ethics training, and a possible lawsuit filed against the salesman as a result of her actions. I would have loved to work at "the office."

If you're a business major, you should check out "the office' and thank your lucky stars for the people you work with.

Resistance is what happens when an organization embraces diversity and how a specific demographics who supported this culture faithfully for years reject it. Comic books don't discriminate against who buys them, but it does limit the diversity of characters portrayed in them. With the success of movies like the Black Panther character originally a comic books character inspired by Malcolm X, is turning off a specific demographic who do not appreciate this culture change. You win some and lose some.

I love this story told by Steve Jobs explaining how Apple's organization was structured. I once asked a millionaire how he created his success, and he told me to KISS it! He could see that I was confused by his statement and he was quick to explain himself. He said that if I wanted to succeed, I needed to know how to take care of my employees who will do the work for me and to "Keep It Simple Stupid!". It's a formula that seems to have worked for Steve Jobs and the success he created at Apple. Well, with one exception, he didn't take care of the emotional well being of his employees.
