a) What causes people to rise up and rebel? What prevailing conditions cause revolt?

The prevailing conditions that cause a rebellion would be the abuse of a currently instituted form of government, either by not meeting the needs of the people, by using advantages against them in order to lessen their quality of lives and improve their own, or by a lack of a basic need with poor reasoning or an apathetic government, such as a lack of food, or money. A poor quality of life and informed citizens are usually what the prevailing conditions of a revolt are, along with the possibility for change, or the lack of danger to the individuals revolting (such as, no military murdering or slaughtering them en masse, and the ability to survive to institute a more just way of life or improve the quality of life for future generations).

b) What is the nature of power and how do people obtain it, use (or abuse) it and maintain it?

The nature of power is to always be in a minority with a manipulated advantage over a majority who perpetuate the production of goods and services in a society always being at a disadvantage. The nature of power is the ability to manipulate the lives of citizens so that they are unnecessarily lessened, so as to keep them at a disadvantage, distracted, confused, or to gaslight citizens to convince them that life is fixed and better than it has ever been, in order to preserve a peaceful and privileged way of life for the advantaged minority. People obtain power through, more often than not, corruption, falsifying of facts, rhetoric, lying and claiming that observable reality is untrue and that one should question one's own reality and memories in favor of the individual in power, of cult-like idolization and obsessive and often forced reverence of the individual in power (particularly in a dictatorship), and of impenetrable military in order to terrify its impoverished citizens into submission or willing obedience of a way of life that sets them at a permanent disadvantage.

a) What causes people to rise up and rebel? What prevailing conditions cause revolt?

ANSWER: I think what causes people to rise up and rebel is because they can be tired of being bossed around or they feel that the government is doing nothing to better the country. For example, students are walking out of schools rebelling against their faculty because they are tired of the government not doing anything with these non stop school shootings. They want to see change and thats why people rebel because it is basically the only way their voice can be heard. And the prevailing conditions that cause revolt is the government not listening to the people and meeting their needs.

b) What is the nature of power and how do people obtain it, use (or abuse) it and maintain it?

ANSWER: I think that the nature of power is to have a leader that can accomplish things that others can't. People obtain power by having people's respect and loyalty. Also, by putting others first before themselves. People can abuse power by manipulating people and making them seem as if they are below the person who has all the power. Just like in Animal Farm when Napoleon abused his power by treating all the farm animals worse and changing the 10 commandments. Lastly, people can maintain power by working together to solve an issue that one has or getting ideas from the people and using them so that it could keep the country peaceful so there wouldn't be any rebellions.

a) What causes people to rise up and rebel? What prevailing conditions cause revolt?

Answer: In my opinion, the reason people tend to rise up and revolt is because they do no like the leadership. They grow tired of how they are being treated and they rebel because they want things to change. In America, women around the world tried to rebel against how women are being treated. So they were wearing all black to the Golden Globes to protest change. They want to promote change and want to be heard. People revolt to get their voices heard by the government and their leaders. The prevailing conditions that cause people to revolt is when they feel they are being ignored. This happens when the government or leaders of the country do not listen to their people and try to help promote change.

b) What is the nature of power and how do people obtain it, use (or abuse) it and maintain it?

Answer: In my opinion, the nature of power means the ability to get what you want without anyone stopping you. Most people obtain it by giving worried countries a leader and having loyal people to back them up. One of the ways most leaders abuse power is by manipulating people to listen to them and be loyal to them no matter what. Napoleon, in Animal Farm, took control over the farm and abused his power by making the animals work harder and was treating them worse than before. Most leaders can abuse their power once they have it. They make others feel that their leaders are above them and they are below them. Most leaders are able to maintain this power. They work together with other loyal members of their crew to try and solve the problems for the people. They make sure that the people think their voices are being heard so they do not rebel against their leaders and try to run a successful government.

a) What causes people to rise up and rebel? What prevailing conditions cause revolt?

A lot of thing can cause people to rise up and rebel. The most common reasons this occurs is when you are bossed around, treated wrong or don't agree with the rules and leadership. An example from the story is how the animals rebelled against Mr. Jones. Mr Jones neglected the animals by not feeding them. Major had enough and along with the other animals they rebelled and kicked him off his farm. The prevailing conditions that cause revolt is when someone feels ignored. In order to get their point across they revolt to make a change in the government.

b) What is the nature of power and how do people obtain it, use (or abuse) it and maintain it?

The nature of power means you get what you want. When given power you become corrupted and power hungry. Leaders have power to get things done and when they see they have all this power they misuse and abuse it. People obtain power by manipulating people to vote for them in the government by telling them what they want to hear. In the story Napoleon had a lot of power and started to abuse it. Napoleon made the animals work harder than before because he had the power to.

I agree with response Blake makes. I think that there are certain reasons to people rebelling in their countries. I think the example shows how it relates to Animal Farm. The meaning of power, is being able to get whatever you want. And I think the examples help explain the responses better.

What causes people to rise up and revolt?
Revolts and other happen when the people’s voices have been ignored for too long. When the people withstand conutless years of mistreatment in the light and hope that the society will improve to what it is already. When people are pushed to or overthe edge and no figure in power is making any positive changes or speaking directly to the people and fulfilling their own needs.
What prevailing conditions cause revolt?
Factors of neglect. Such instances would include all that we are promised in light of protecting our humans and or animal rights. Safety, equality and prosperity. When our voices aren’t heard about the change we hope to see, revolt is the only actions leaders will agnowledge.
What’s the nature of power and how do people obtain it, use ( or abuse ) it and maintain it?
Power to many is driven by greed. Fame. All other instances where you as a person. Where you have the upper hand. On the richeous standing power is gained in order to maintain peace and amount to all the needs of ones followers. Power can easily be used for good as for bad. Seems as most people tend to use it to control others and build up their own petistol into society or where they want to be powerful. It is maintained in all
sorta of forms. As a neglecting conceited form it would be throught money and fame. In the prospects of helping others it would be through letting your people be heard and naturally gaining their favor. It all depends

I believe Andrea has a point when she says that the prevailing conditions that cause a revolt would be "not meeting the needs of the people". Because very rarely you see people causing a riot because their needs are being met. It is usually because the people dont have a voice.
