These Witches Don't Burn is a Young Adult/Fantasy Fiction novel, by Isabel Sterling. It tells the story in modern-day Salem, Massachusetts of a teenage witch dealing with the normal drama of high school (like her ex dating someone new, figuring out which college she should attend, dating someone new), but also with the drama of a rival coven that may be coming to town to kill her and the rest of her family/coven.
If you are interested in the supernatural, LGBTQ characters, on your edge suspense of "What is going to possibly happen next?!" and mystery, this is the book for you. The main characters are relatable even though half of them have supernatural capabilities. This is the first book in the saga--it sets the reader up for a modern-day battle between supernatural forces.

Quarantine sucks right? At least you're not stuck in a rice field hiding from a power hungry god. Francis of the Filth is a comedy book by George Miller. It tells a tale of a boy named Fransiskus (Frank) who was born with misfortune at the start of his life and how that followed him to adolescence. Working at a lab as a messed up man messing with nuclear weapons he accidently duplicates his chromosomes. No biggie right? Wrong because chromosomes are the prime of all currency in the omniverse. Chromosomes determines your status and your power. Frank has lots of those so does that mean he's the all mighty? Nope cause a tyrant of a god wants all of his.
If comedy is what you're into then this is the book for you. From Pink Guys to Salamander Men this book has it all. This book will get you hanging off your chromosomes wondering what is going on while laughing till you cry. Don't believe me? Read it for yourself!

The title of the book I chose to read is Unraveled. The author of this book is Kate Birch. The genre of this book is YA and a mix of suspense. In this book, the main character is fighting for her two worlds, her love and her friends. She wants to help save all the people like her, but she wants to be able to be with her true love, Penn. This plot is so good and the book leaves you with suspense all through it’s chapters. I chose this book because it was the last book in the series I am reading and the last book I read was left on a cliffhanger, so I HAD to read this book. I feel like this book is for people who love adventure, freedom and true love. This book is so exciting that I feel like it can make anyone want to read and that's saying something. I loved this book so much and would recommend this book to everyone I know or any random person on the street!

We Were Liars is a Young Adult Fiction and Physiological Thriller written by E.Lockhart. This book is about a girl named Cadence and every summer she goes to her grandpa's private island. One year her aunt's boyfriend brings his nephew to the island. Cadence starts to have feelings for Gat (who is her aunt's boyfriend's nephew). They start to bond each summer until she gets into a tragic accident which causes her to forget everything that happened during the summer of her accident. Her summers after that accident weren't the best, her dad wanted to take her on trips that she didn't want to go to (but her mom made her), and finally, when she was back to her grandpa's island everything was different. When she was at the island everyone was treating her so different and would ask many questions, Cadence would get annoyed but was very determined to find out what had happened during summer 15 (which was the summer of her accident). This book is one big roller-coaster and I would definitely recommend it to people who like mystery, thriller, very slight romance, and unsuspected twists.

This book is by the author Howard Pyle. The books genres are adventure,(Literature), and Historical Fiction. This book is about The main character Robin hood who I am sure most of you know of. And he helps the people in the village(s). He defends the right and he likes to tease the sheriff who is the tax collector. Robin Hood meets a lot of people and brings them to his side in this book and he is still the heroine(even in the book). It also tells us how he and little john met and how things went on from there and also talks about the archery contest that was also in the movie. This book is not much like the movie but that is the reason why I wanted to read it. People who may be interested are people who like robin hood, people who are like me curious about how different the book is from the movie, and people who like adventure stories/books. Although the book was a bit different in parts than the movie I still enjoyed reading it and there were still most of the same events in it.

The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan is an Adventure Fiction and Greek Mythology book. A son of Poseidon, the god of the sea, and a demigod named Percy Jackson has to defend the Empire State Building, known as Olympus to the demigods, from Kronos, the father of the gods and the Titan that took over Luke’s body. Kronos has an army, an army large enough that it could be compared as 1, being the demigods, against 100, being Kronos's army. Why aren't the gods helping? Because there is something that the gods have to worry about more than the battle in Manhattan. The name of this monstrosity is Typhon, which looks like a giant storm heading eastward to a normal human, but to demigods it’s much more than that. It is the gods’ greatest enemy and a strike from Zeus’s master bolt, the most powerful weapon in existence, at point-blank range just makes Typhon just shrug it off like nothing happened. And if the Great Prophecy is true, “The hero’s soul, cursed blade shall reap,” Percy might have to die to save Olympus. I think people who like adventures, Greek Mythology, fantasy or just the Greek Gods would be interested in reading The Last Olympian, along with the 4 other books they have to read before this book.

I feel this book is great for young adults because it does have some inappropriate language and overall is pretty gruesome. It is about 42 children that where all born unsuspectingly and all at the same time. A rich man named Reginald Hargreaves bought 7 of them. Their was one girl that did not have super powers so she had so sit out and watch as all 6 of her siblings got to fight crime together. The family is later informed that an apocalypse is coming and will destroy everything in its path. In the end the family finds out that the girl with no powers had powers all along and was the cause for the apocalypse.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is a young adult romance, drama book with some aspects of fantasy. While some of the concepts and characters in this best-selling novel are complex and can be hard to explain, long story short, twilight is about a young girl named Bella Swan who moves to Forks, Washington long after her parent's divorce. Bella is somewhat mysterious and is a magnet for accidents. It is not until she meets a young but different vampire named Edward, who swears to protect Bella at all costs. Those who enjoy a good vampire-meets-human romance would definitely fall in love with this book. Twilight is also for those who cannot stand the standard vampire stereotypes (i.e. vampires will die in sunlight, they only come out at night, etc.) as well as those who find value in self-sacrifice and thrill.

Kat, Lillia, and Mary get a letter from their old Boyfriend that warnings them to stay away from him because he will kill them or murder them in your house. I like this series because it has some good details in the story that I like High school, parties, and what happens in the story in my opinion. I would recommend this to a lot of 13-16 years old because theirs some Language in the quotes sometimes. I liked how both of the authors made 3 books to cover the whole details of each girl.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney

My book is called Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney and is realistic fiction. In the book Dog Days the story is about a boy named Greg Heffley and it’s his last day of school until summer vacation. Once his break has started he is very much forward to playing video games all summer and spending time with his friends. But Greg’s dad had other stuff in mind like camping and war stuff. But Greg makes up a fake job at a country club with his friend Rowley. Later in the book Greg’s dad finds out his job was all just a joke. I would say this book would be for middle school students.

the maze runner
thomas is just an ordinary teenager when he gets to the labyrinth- so is everyone. however just like all of the other teens there, he has no memory of his previous life- like completely wiped and erased from his memory. however, he quickly learns to adapt to the labyrinth and the maze because he knows hes gonna be there for a while, and they start to try to work out a plan. a few days later, teresa, aka the only girl in the entire maze gets dropped off in this odd place too, and together, thomas and teresa try to convince the rest of the boys here thats theres a way out. i think this is a good series for people that are into thriller/ action movies, and the genre is sci fi/ action.

Five Nights at Freddy's : The Silver Eyes
This book is just exactly like the video game Five Nights at Freddy's Pizzeria. There are four animatronics, Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate Fox. There is a fifth hidden animatronic named- Golden Freddy who I only read once in the book. There is one security guard who works the night shift and his shifts ends at 4:Am and he has to survie until then. Long story short he talks about his childhood and how he was beat and abused until his parents were arrested and then killed at 3:35 by GOLDEN FREDDY.

Stephanie Bruggman - My Hero Academia, Vol. 25

My Hero Academia Vol. 25, by Kohei Horikoshi, in which belongs to the genre of Action is a book (or manga) basically about the antagonist's point of view, Tomura Shigaraki. He is a villain who tries to do evil deeds with The League of Villains, which is basically a group of villains he had gathered around to tear society apart. In this book however, it really shows his backstory and why he made certain choices that may have seemed questionable. He had been betrayed for his quirk (power/ability) in which whenever he touches something such as an object, it would decay instantly (humans can also decay as well). There was a dreadful incident in which left him off abandoned and left alone due to his quirk. However, while he was all alone like a lonely puppy there then appeared the most dangerous super villains, One for All. This dreadful villains, One for All had helped Shigaraki throughout his hard times and gave him support. The both of them had grown a father and son bond, but in a very twisted up way due to their horrorfest ideas and actions. Both of them were like the ultimate of evil. This book also shows more of Shigaraki's backstory. This manga is a very good book and people who are deeply invested in action would love this book.

The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis, Fantasy

A curious boy and girl named Digory and Polly go on small adventures during the summer in London, indoors of course, for it was a very cold and wet summer. When exploring a tunnel that connected a row of houses, they find a small door that leads to a furnished attic. There they met Digory’s Uncle Andrew and touched magic rings that brought them to an in-between world. The world consisted of multiple pools, Digory and Polly decide to try to explore what lay beyond one of the pools before going back home. They choose a pool that led them to a dying world where they met a cruel and strong witch. When they try to escape back to their world, the witch grabs hold of Digory and the kids end up bringing her as well. The witch tries to conquer the children’s world, though Digory and Polly were soon able to bring her back to the in-between world. They accidentally brought Uncle Andrew, a cabby, and the cabby’s horse. The children hop into a pool they thought was the witch’s world but ended up to be an empty world merely begging. A lion came and sang a beautiful song and started to create the world. The witch fled away from the area from which the song began because she felt a magic stronger than hers and hated it. The lion named Aslan calls upon Digory to fetch a seed from a garden. Digory goes with Polly and the cabby's horse (who was now a horse with wings) to get the seed. Digory gets the seed (or apple), gives it to Aslan, and leaves with Polly and Uncle Andrew back into their own world. The cabby had been anointed King and his wife was brought to the new world (which the place they were in was called Narnia) to become Queen with him.

I chose this book because I’ve had the Narnia series for a while now, I have read it a while ago, but I don’t recall a lot of it, so I decided to re-read starting with the 1st book aka the book I’m using for this assignment.

People who like a somewhat-old timeline setting and the Fantasy genre would like the story. I do believe the book was meant to be a children’s novel though.

I definitely like the book. The writing structure and style the author uses are incredible. The characters are great and the originality & creativity of it all is amazing.
