PowerSchool / PowerTeacher

PowerSchool is where attendance is taken, PowerTeacher is the online Gradebook.

Once you are logged into PowerSchool, you can open your gradebook in PowerTeacher by clicking any of the PowerTeacher Pro links beside any of your classes (it doesn't matter which.)

Instructional Protocol/Observation Tool

This is the Greenville County Schools Instructional Protocol, which forms the basis of how teachers in this district should be planning, teaching, and assessing.

Here you can find the observation tool used by administrators to provide feedback and evaluate.

Out of District PD Form

If you attend an out of district professional development that you would like applied towards renewal credit, download and complete this form and then send it to Towers along with proof of completion (certificate, etc.)

Once Towers has signed your form, you will upload it (along with your certificates or other proof of completion) to the PD Portal following these instructions.

Enrich

Enrich is where you can pull multiple years worth of testing data on individual students or groups of students. Given the lack of state testing in 2019-20, you will likely be using Enrich less often this year.

Follow instructions in this tutorial to get logged in and learn how to search for students/pull reports.

VPN Set up (for working from home)

These instructions will allow you to set up a VPN on your employee laptop so that you can access sites (Staff BackPack, certain sections of the Employee Portal, Enrich, etc.) that are only available when connected to GCSD WiFi.

Before following the provided VPN directions, please remember:

1. Do not attempt to activate VPN while on the GCS network.

2. READ the instructions FIRST. These will help because there is a slight omission in the video.

NOTE: Your AccessID is your Employee Identification Number, which you should have received with your initial hiring paperwork. If you cannot remember/do not know your password, you can quickly set a new one as long as you know your Employee Identification Number.
