<title>2). The common concensus of the three teachers that I interviewed in respect to communication patterns and how the patterns might impact each professional’s ability to collaborate seemed to be that effective communication patterns are key in the overall success of collaboration, co-teaching and consultation. Effective communication will lead to the the success of collaboration when it comes to various opportunities such as lesson planning, co-teaching and IEP lesson planning and teams and much more. </title>

<title>3). Definition: The overall consensus of the three teachers that I interviewed were that collaboration can quickly be defined as members of a learning community who may work together as a team to help aid in the success of the students in the classroom. Collaboration can include but not limited to lesson planning, co-teaching and consulting. Teachers must be willing to share, support, and explore together, therefore developing a collaborative culture which will ultimately result in a reduction in new teacher turnover, as well as an improvement in student learning.</title>

<title>4) Characteristics: The common theme surrounding important characteristics for successful collaboration in education seemed to be centered around a focused team. One where individuals keep in mind that it should be about we and not I. All three of my teachers also agreed that the team must remain focused on group goals and group success. Another common characteristic of successful collaboration in education was the generosity of all team players. This is very important because they must be willing to chip in even when they do not get the credit for doing such. My preschool teacher also mentioned curiosity as a strong point due to the fact that teammates follow their natural curiosity to help them brainstorm ways to ensure effective collaboration occurs. </title>
